The history vaults are opening this summer for D23 members!
The Walt Disney Archives turns the big 50 this year. To celebrate, D23 is dedicating the summer issue of Disney twenty-three to celebrating this historic event.
Available only to D23 Gold Members, the issue will be hosted by film critic and historian Leonard Maltin as he takes you through five decades worth of history. Dotting the cover will be 33 archival pieces, from the Laugh-O-gram Films megaphone to the 1966 Ford GT40 Mk. II Production Replica from Ford v. Ferrari.
The issue will also include a chat with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy on how they got together to make their new Disney+ series Muppets Now, exclusive interviews with the team behind Artemis Fowl including Sir Kenneth Branagh, Dame Judi Dench, Josh Gad and Ferdia Shaw, and legendary filmmaker Don Hahn’s essay about making his new film Howard, the Disney+ documentary about the life of Disney Legend Howard Ashman.
The issue should be arriving to you D23 Gold Members out there later this month, so keep your eyes peeled for this treasure-trove of history.
