The Tokyo Disney Resort has been closed since February 29th after extending their closure date through April 19th.
The Japanese city of Tokyo just extended their state of emergency, so we kept our eyes peeled for another announcement from Tokyo Disney. Sure enough, the resort has decided to once again extend its closure date.
Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea, and the resort hotels will now be closed through at least mid-May, according to the Tokyo Disney Resort website. They plan to determine a new re-opening date in mid-May and will then announce their decision.
The debut of the new Fantasyland area, which was pushed back to mid-May or beyond, will now have its opening decided separately. Once the parks reopen, a new date will be determined and announced.
If your vacation is being affected by the extension, you can visit the Tokyo Disney Resort website for more information.
