Both Disneyland parks, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, will close at 10 p.m. Saturday night. This is two hours prior to published park closing time for Disneyland Park, although it’s the published closing time for California Adventure.
Disneyland announced the closure via their Disneyland App.
The closure is the result of two inches of rain predicted for Southern California and up to six inches of rain predicted in the foothills and south-facing mountain slopes, according to the National Weather Service.
There is concern that with the heavy rain there may be dangerous debris flows in areas where wildfires killed the vegetation that holds the hillsides together. The area in question is in the Lake Elsinore and Temescal Valley areas, which is under mandatory evacuation orders.
