Dedication to Richard M. Sherman to Air Tonight

"Richard M. Sherman: Songs of a Lifetime," will premier on PBS SoCal on December 17 at 7 p.m. PST. The showcase dedicated to the composer/lyricist will highlight 60 years of popular songs, many written in collaboration with Sherman's late brother, Robert B. Sherman. Some of Sherman's best-known music includes the Oscar-winning score for "Mary Poppins" and the world-famous attraction theme for "it's a small world." Produced by film producer/director and writer Don Hahn, the show features Sherman at the piano, visiting the Sherman brothers' songbook for films, TV and beyond, plus a few of his own compositions. The show is expected to be broadcast soon in other major cities; be sure to check your TV listings for confirmed dates in the future.
