Cinderella to be Added to National Film Registry

It has just been announced that the Disney animated classic film Cinderella is one of 25 films being added to National Film Registry this year. Cinderella joins other Disney films including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Dumbo, Bambi, The Lion King, and shorts including Steamboat Willie on the Registry. A total of 21 Disney (created or acquired) films are on the list of 750 films.

Princess Elena of Avalor to Appear at Princess Fairytale Hall

Beginning November 24, Princess Elena of Avalor -- the first Disney princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures -- will begin to greet guests alongside other royal friends at Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom. At Princess Fairytale Hall, guests can choose between a meeting with Elena and Cinderella or a visit with Rapunzel and Tiana. You can make FastPass+ arrangements for dates that include Elena appearances starting October 14. Princess Elena of Avalor first made her grand debut at Magic Kingdom back in August, with Cinderella officially welcoming her to the kingdom in "The Princess Elena Royal Welcome" show. This show will be performed several times a day on the Castle Forecourt Stage throughout the fall.

“A Princess Royal Reception” Comes to Disney Springs This October

A one-month, limited-time offering debuted on October 1 at the World of Disney at Disney Springs Marketplace. "A Princess Royal Reception" takes place at the store intermittently between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day featuring a visiting Disney princess -- Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Tiana or another. There are no set times for specific characters. A Disney PhotoPass photographer is on hand to capture each interaction, and the photos are available for guests to purchase or download as part of their Memory Maker product purchase. When you arrive at the World of Disney, check in for the experience and a cast member will tell you the approximate wait time and return instructions. When it is time for you to return to the queue, you'll be moments away from meeting a Disney Princess. The royal reception will run through November 1.
