We dined here on 1/16. I think most of these reviews are accurate. The biggest plus is the decor and atmosphere. It's truly breathtaking. When you walk in, if you don't get excited you need to wear a Grumpy shirt all the next day. I found the service to be very good, the place was busy but our drinks were refilled quickly and we had no complaints. I got the steak, asked for ketchup and got it within sixty seconds. Pretty good in my book. I agree the restaurant is noisy, I didn't even notice music. We ate in the large room but were encouraged to walk around to the other rooms which we did. The food was good, not great. But it's such a step up from everything else in the Magic Kingdom that it easily fills the role of signature dining experience in the MK. And I agree with the feeling of exclusivity, they don't let people just sneak in to take pictures. After dealing with crowds all day in Fantasyland that's kind of nice.

We visited in mid-January for an 8:15 reservation. We entered the castle very shortly after arriving and got a picture with Belle. That wasn't rushed at all, my four year old was in awe of her. We were seated at our table shortly after that. Our server took our drink order and directed us to the pastry/fruit buffet for starters. Shortly after that the plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns. Every table got the same thing. Then they had the princess parade. Snow White came and led my four year old all around the room while people took pictures and waved. My two year old insisted on joining and had a blast as well. The princesses that visited were Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel. January is a great time to visit, the princesses stayed for pictures and talked to my girls. The breakfast is not cheap, I think it was $126 for two adults and the 4 year old. That included a picture and the drinks and tip so we didn't get nickel and dimed for anything else. I have to say it was probably worth it, the look on my older daughter's face watching the princesses visit the tables was really special. The only drawback was that every table gets the same plate, you can get more, I asked for more eggs and got them quickly, but I'm the only bacon eater and the hashbrowns went pretty much untouched. I know Disney has probably streamlined this as much as they can but it leads to waste. That's a quibble, we would go back again.

On previous trips, I have always been a huge fan of the dining plan. After my most recent trip, I'm not so sure.
I just came home from a 6 night stay at AoA with my sister. Both of us are in our early 20s and are fairly light eaters who occasionally like to indulge.
We had table service reservations for each day, and enjoyed being able to have that many, something we never would have done had we been paying out of pocket. Had I been paying out of pocket, I also would have most likely chosen some of the cheaper entrees rather than the ones I enjoyed on this trip.
That being said, since we are not HUGE eaters we split several counter service meals and snacks to avoid paying out of pocket for ANY food at all during our trip. While it was nice to not pay for any food there, we kept track of how much we "spent" and found it to be about $70 less than what the dining plan cost us. We actually enjoyed splitting the meals since we got so much food anyways, and didn't have to pay for breakfast (or whatever we would have been lacking a CS credit for). Between splitting meals and choosing smaller options that we wanted anyways, it would have been much cheaper to just pay out of pocket.
Lesson learned.
I enjoyed having the refillable mug simply to be able to drink free coffee every morning, lemonade or anything besides water at night, and to have something to fill up at water fountains in the parks. In addition, it is making a great souvenir now that I am home!
While I enjoyed the dining plan in the past, the price increase has made it not worthwhile for us.

We had breakfast here several times over the course of the week and everything we ordered was delicious!
All of the entrees were very reasonably priced. We used the dining plan but would probably just pay out of pocket next time.
We had refillable mugs and got coffee every morning, and while it wasn't the best coffee I've ever had, it was acceptable. I just wish there was either a choice of flavored coffee, or even the flavored coffeemate creamers to put in it.
While at times it was somewhat busy and a bit chaotic, the cast members did an excellent job of directing traffic and making things run smoothly and quickly.

We ate here during one night of our stay last week. We were tired and just looking for something simple (had been eating at a lot of sit downs all week).
Not crowded while we were there, which was nice. I enjoyed the customizable pasta dish, but overall didn't think it was amazing.
I was much more impressed by the breakfast options here. However, definitely an acceptable option if you do not want to leave the resort for dinner.

We ate here twice during our January trip. Both times, my sister and I shared a CS meal on the dining plan and felt that it was more than enough food.
We had the chicken nuggets and carrot sticks/french fries, and tried both desserts.
The place was no frills, the service was speedy. The food was simple but warm and tasty. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside.
We would definitely eat here again!

My sister and I dined here on 1/14. We were seated right at the time of our reservation.
The food was excellent and the character interaction was great. As others have said, the jungle juice is sooooo good! Our server (who's name I wish I could remember) was FANTASTIC! She gave us tons of tips for AK and came back when the characters were at our table to take pictures for us.
It was awesome to meet Mickey and other characters without waiting in long lines, and the character interaction was fantastic.

My sister and I ate here on 1/19.
The restaurant was beautiful and didn't feel too cramped. Our server was excellent and kept our drinks refilled and informed us about when the characters would be coming so we would not miss them.
There was a great variety of food and everything was delicious.
The character interaction was brief but all of them were great, and it was fun to see less common characters (or at least ones we hadn't seen before) like Alice and the Mad Hatter. We are adults, but we also enjoyed watching them interact with the children around us.
We were on the dining plan, but felt it was very reasonably priced for a character buffet and already decided that we would return, with or without the dining plan.
The only negative thing was we waited 30 minutes after our ADR to be seated-this was the only restaurant this happened at.

For such a beautiful place , the staff was an ugly foul mood which surprised me that Disney would allow such people represent France. I was struck in awe with beauty of the products and couldn't decide which product to have for lunch when I get a eye roll and a huffy attitude by the cast member behind the counter. When I did decide and she reluctantly decided to take me to the register and asked me if I wanted a drink and when I told her yes. She turned around disgusted and left .
When we were in the store area and bought some mugs and tried to make small talk with the cashier she turned away from me and talked in French to a co-worker in a rather ignorant tone. Since they were mugs you would think she would wrap them another bag. But, no she just threw them in the bag. I am shocked they were not chipped.
My fiancee said that is your typical French "rude" but, I thought this is Disney Cant you show some civility? I was hoping to visit France in the near future but this has really turned me off to them and I think I will plan my net vacation elsewhere

This is the only resturant we've always made ADR's for before our vacations. Food was disappointing this time around. Service was outstanding it might be time to find another favorite!
