Review of Walt Disney World Minnie Van Service

We used this service on 8/1 to get to MK instead of relying on the bus since we had a Keys To the Kingdom tour at 9:00 and didn't want to be late. The Minnie Van arrived within 5 minutes of being ordered through the app. Our driver Penelope (van #39) was very pleasant and was able to drop us off at the front entrance to MK as opposed to the TTC since it is a Disney run service. It was a fun and whimsical way to get round and we didn't mind paying the $20 fee to try it out.

My family of four ate at Tiffens on 8/11/17. It is the best meal we have ever had on property. We had the tenderloin and brisket, venison and swordfish. The were all great. Beautiful atmosphere and our server Christian was fantastic. I Would highly recommend eating here.

I love the castle. The breakfast is ok, not great but ok. It is highly overpriced for what it is, but the experience of getting in the castle for a meal I think is worth it to do at least once. It is an easier reservation than dinner.
Pros:
The castle is amazing and the food is goodCons:

This to me is by far the best resort at WDW and possibly the best I have ever stayed in. All the restaurants from Ohana to Capt Cooks and everything in between. This is my favorite bar in WDW also. You get immersed in the Island atmosphire and almost forget you are at WDW. If you stayed here for a week and never went to the parks it would still be a great vacation

Great place to stay especially if you like to spend time at EPCOT and the Boardwalk area. Now that the rooms have been updated it is even better.
Pros:
Nice updated rooms, walking distance to EPCOT, DHS and The BoardwalkCons:

This is an amazing hotel. The restaurants including the counter service are delicious and can accommodate any palate. The views of the animals are amazing and I love the story time around the fire pit. Last time we were there a cast member gave my son a shark tooth which he has since put on a necklace and will remember that forever.
Pros:
The views and amenities are incredibleCons:

I tried the classic, and while I've never had real Canadian poutine, so I can't speak to the authenticity, I enjoyed this a lot. The fries were hot and made to order, thick cut, with gravy and cheese curds. This was my lunch and the portion was more than plenty.
Pros:
Portion size, food hotCons:

Took the Minnie Van from the Boardwalk Villas to Saratoga Springs for dinner at the Turf Club and did not want to leave an hour early to bus to Disney Springs and then catch a boat (if boat was running with thunder storms about). We don't do taxi rides anywhere and had never done Lyft. It was very easy with communication and payment through the cell phone app. Reply from Minnie Van gave a van number for our ride to make it easy to be sure we were getting into the right van. Van was there within about 5 minutes of our request. Cast Member was very pleasant and chatted. She did share that the service is popular and that they are expanding. It was a treat to have excellent door to door service in an time effective and comfortable manner.
Pros:
Easy and on timeCons:

I have been here 2 times and both times I had the steak and it is amazing. The wife has had the seafood pasta dish and said it was also very good. The desserts are delicious and the Grey Stuff is a must try. We were able to get a bottle of wine for a very reasonable price (for Disney) for about $35 for house white. We will attempt to go here every trip.
Pros:
The food the service and the atmosphireCons:

Kona has been a mainstay during our visits for years but this year (August 2017) was disappointing. The menu listed for Kona on AllEars is for December 2016 but that has changed and not, in my family's opinion, for the better. Sushi selections have been cut by more than half, entrée selections have been reduced as well and the steamed pork buns - a favorite appetizer - have exited the menu. Among some items we ordered were the California roll (ate half; not tasty), Asian Pasta Shrimp (half eaten; again, not tasty and a bit overcooked) and the steak (reduced portion for the amount paid). Additionally, the restaurant was fairly empty at 6:00 which we have never experienced in prior visits. We liked dining at Kona rather than Ohana because of the more selective menu. I'm afraid future visits are probably in jeopardy. Do not know what happened there but my family was very disappointed.
