Review of 'Ohana Dinner

This is about our most favorite meal at WDW. We make a point to get a reservation here at each trip. Of course it is very crowded at all times. We did have a somewhat earlier reservation this time which we noticed provided us a shorter wait time as well as a little better table location. (For just a couple, we have noticed that on the last several trips to 'Ohana, we have been placed at a table that is not really in a prime spot.)
The food was outstanding as always. Our service was good. We were provided as much food as we wanted and it was brought in a timely manner.
The entertainment in the restaurant that night was the lovely woman. She sang and visited tables. She led the children in the coconut race. She came to our table and gave us flower leis. She is so beautiful and even took a picture with my husband.
You simply can't go wrong with a meal reservation at Ohana. It is consistently wonderful!
Pros:
Great as always!Cons:

We've been here several times. The food is always great!
We were one of the first reservations upon the opening of the restaurant for dinner, so our wait was minimal. I was a little surprised, given our seating right at opening, that we were still put in the "back" location of the restaurant. It is a great table, right beside a fireplace, but when there are activities taking place in the big dining area, you do feel a little "left out". This has happened to us before and I am quite sure it is because we were a table of two adults. But at any rate - this isn't really a complaint. If I had really wanted to fuss about it, I believe they would have moved us.
Our server Suzan was sweet and nice. She was really great and provided excellent service. We were so happy with our food and left absolutely stuffed!!!
Never have been sorry that we selected this as one of our meals.

We ate here on 4/22 for my son's, 6, birthday. We have ate here in the past and have always been really impressed with the friendliness of the staff. This was probably our most memorable and favorite meal of our trip. We had none of the sushi or seafood because my daughter has a seafood allergy and they were very friendly and accommodating (she had grilled chicken and steamed rice). Husband had steak, I had grilled chicken, both of which comes with sauces and vegetables and some other sides. Food was delicious. We would definitely go back.

food, extremely friendly staff, nice atmosphereCons:

We usually hit ESPN Club on every visit to the World. Did so this past April and had a tasty lunch. We were a little disappointed that the menu seems to be pared down. There aren't as many choices as there used to be. When we first started eating there, we had a hard time choosing what we wanted to eat as there were so many good choices. This time we both ended up getting burgers which we really could have gotten anywhere. They were both cooked as we ordered them, and tasty so no complaints there, but we were just looking for something different.

We spent our 25th anniversary there in a Royal room from April 22nd to April 28th. Our room was on the second floor as requested but next to the ice machine and mouse keeping closet so we heard the carts go by every morning early. They also did not leave new cups every day and one day left a bag of garbage by mistake. The room was very clean and they left towel animals 2 times! I think they are understaffed since last time we stayed.
We had a great time. The resort was clean and lovely. We road the bikes and had excellent bus service.
I loved the theming of the Royal room and the beds very comfy.
Pros:
Lovely landscaping, friendly staff, excellent bus serviceCons:

My husband and I both liked our meals. I had the calamari appetizer and the mushroom pizza. My husband had pasta and meatballs. The bread was good and the wine very nice. Our waiter was very distracted. We learned more about what the restaurant offered by the waiter next to us. Our waiter was hardly around. When I told him I had a chocolate allergy he gave me the dessert trio and walked away. I did not eat it and later he came back and said yes it had chocolate. When we left the greeters were throwing papers at each other. I felt bad for the cooks because the food is good but the staff not so much.

We stayed at Kidani Village in a DVC 1br villa from 4/19-4/26. We had a standard view, looking out at the bus stop, but could also see the pool in the far distance. One real bonus: we could see the top of Wishes from our balcony! What a treat each night. Our room was #7523, so not a far walk from either the lobby or Jambo, and only a few minutes to the pool. The room was very clean and everything was in good shape. The pool here is our favorite of all the DVC pools. There are always tables with umbrellas available, and the bartenders are very friendly. I love that there is a view of the savanna close to the pool, always with a Cast Member nearby to talk to you about whatever animal you might be seeing. One day we saw a 5mo old Okapi right up next to the fence. Just amazing! Love this resort and will most certainly return.

Previously Pizzafari had been one of my family's favorites, however with the recent menu changes I'm afraid this is no longer true. The pizza itself has changed, and the members of my family had differing opinions about that. Some liked it and some didn't. We were all disappointed in the new salad: it says antipasto, yet contains no meat or lettuce. It is a cup of marinated vegetables. I really missed the fresh green caesar salad you used to get. This is a good choice if you're in the park with picky eaters and want something less chaotic than Restarauntosaurus, but we will probably start heading back to the resort for lunch from now on.

We have had consistently good luck eating here. The fish is always excellent and the chips are always crispy and nice and hot. Getting to grab an umbrella table down by the water and enjoy eating there is such a nice experience!

Pre ordering is really the way to go here. The line for the non-preordered guests was backed up all along the bridge. We went right into the castle, then checked in and got our drinks and a table. Our food was served within several minutes, and was really excellent. The theming in here is unmatched! I do wish there were other non-sandwich items besides quiche for lunch, but everything they serve here is really good. Don't pass up on the cupcakes!
