Good food (wish there were more choices), and neat ambience. We had a great server who sang to us and took our picture. We will definitely be back. We've been to WDW so many times and had always skipped this one. I am glad we finally tried it.

Pros:

Ambience and food

Great food and character interaction, but definitely only for those on dining plan. . .which we were not. Over $120 for breakfast for 3 was a bit hard to swallow.

Pros:

Yummy food and good character interaction

Cons:

Our home is VGF, so this was our first DVC stay away from there. We really enjoyed the proximity to Epcot and DHS. The entire resort loop of BW, B&Y, Swan and Dolphin is really neat. Love the beach, the pool area, and the running loop. We will definitely be staying in this area again.

Pros:

Location, size, amenities

Review of Port Orleans French Quarter (Moderate Resort)

I have absolutely zero complaints about the resort. Our room was perfect, updated and clean. Not dingy at all. We got the pool view and stayed in 2339. I dreaded the third floor at first but we loved having an upper level view and the walk was still not bad. The kids loved having a view of the pool and it added ot the excitement of the trip and I would book that same room again. Every CM we encountered was very friendly. I had read reviews that were contrary but this was certainly not our experience. I love the fact that the food court is small.. sure it can get cramped just a little, but it is not a loud overpowering gigantic food court like POP. When you order your food they give you a buzzer and you can go sit back down and not stand in line (like burgers, nuggets, etc). I thought this was an awesome service. Our daughter has a shellfish allergy and the chef was super friendly and did not treat our requests like a burden in the very slightest. Every CM behind the grill was friendly. Mousekeeping was the best that we had ever encountered. I think I told my husband one day that our mousekeeper was the bomb because everyday I was impressed. I could tell they went the extra mile. They even wrapped up my phone cord and set my daughter’s stuffed dinosaur up on the bed with her pillow one day, and rearranged our soaps. The pool staff was also very friendly.
Busses were prompt and maybe 1 or 2 times we waited more than ten minutes. More often we were running after the bus that was already sitting there. On our last trip we remembered having to drive all over POR every time we went somewhere and this was seldom the case. I also loved the fact that they have the screens now with the updated bus times and now a CM frequently waits at the stops and clarifies time (once there was a wait time for DHS for 40 minutes and he checked into it). My son is begging to go back to "the same room with the same pool". We can't wait to come back.

Pros:

laid back, small resort, beautiful grounds,

Review of Pop Century Resort (Value Resort)

We've stayed at Pop Century in the past, but it has been quite a while. Frankly, I do not think you can go wrong with any of the value resorts. They are all clean, cutely decorated and fun! We stayed at Pop for 3 nights in April 2016. Absolutely no issue with our room. It was very clean and neat. Service was great. We had a good check in experience. We went to concierge desk a couple of times for questions and we were also served well there. The resort is lovely and so cute. The food court is great - plenty of choices. The shop was also cute and good. We utilized both the shop and the food court.
Bus stop often would lend to extra waiting and/or full bus with the need to stand. That can happen at any resort, yet it does seem that the value resorts are where you'll find the most crowded bus. Maybe just perception. Anyway, not a huge problem.

The only slight issue we had with this resort was pertaining to our transfer to the Beach Club Resort. We have never moved from one resort to another - this was the first time. We were told that Pop would transport our luggage from there to the Beach Club. They told us a time frame of 1-3 pm. However, at 4:00 then 5:00 no luggage was received at the Beach Club. The Beach Club told us that the bags hadn't yet arrived at the resort, so obviously they couldn't deliver what they didn't have.
I am just not sure what happened or why our luggage was not transported when they said it would be, but we did eventually get it later on that night. In the future, I may consider just bringing my own bags should we change resorts mid-trip.
Otherwise -the POP century is a great resort. We love it and would return.

Pros:

CUTE!

Cons:

No frills

Review of Cape May Cafe - Character Breakfast

Breakfast was all delicious. Cinnamon rolls, chorizo eggs, asparagus all excellent. Large choice of item. Nutella, caramelized banana crepe was to die for. Excellent gracious service from beginning to end. Characters were great with our 15 month old granddaughter who was watching Mickey Mouse clubhouse while she ate. She was a little startled to see them on the iPhone and then have them standing behind her. It was a magical morning just like Disney used to be. Just a little too pricey.

Food, cast, characters

Review of Beach Club Resort (Deluxe Resort)

This was the first time we have ever stayed at the Beach Club. We absolutely loved it!!!!! It was so lovely and wow the location was outstanding. To be able to walk over to EPCOT was such a wonderful option.
The room location we got was great. We had a garden view. We thought the room was wonderful. ( I do have to say that there were a few housekeeping issues - some things that could have been cleaner on our first day - but after that everything seemed to be fine.)
When we did have to take the bus, we didn't have to wait a crazy long time and we did not have to stand in the bus. Obviously we could walk to EPCOT and also could walk to Studios, which was a good bit further walk. Yet, we still did it a couple of times. Also you have the boat option to Studios as well, and we did that also.
It is a bit slow, BUT you aren't having to walk, so it is all good.
The pool here is outstanding. We took advantage of that one morning and we really loved it. I was so glad we took time out for the pool and water slide. Tons of fun and so beautiful!
We have generally determined that Port Orleans French Quarter has been our favorite resort. . . . and we do love it. . . . . BUT wow, if we are able to swing staying at the Beach Club again, we are all in. It was worth it!!!

Pros:

LOCATION

Cons:

expensive

Review of Teppan Edo - Japan

This was our first trip to Teppan Edo. We really did enjoy it. The food was so good! Then of course the fun of the chef and his cooking presentation was outstanding!! We had only a little tiny brief wait before they took us to our table. Our chef was wonderful. He really put a lot of fun into our meal. My husband and I were seated with a lovely family that was mom, dad two sweet little girls and their grandparents. Everyone at our table enjoyed the show as well as the food. It was a wonderful experience.
We have hibachi grills that we frequent at home and I really feared that this meal would be exactly what I could get at home, however, this was more fun and there was that Disney difference in this meal. We would definitely do this again!!!

Great food

Review of 50's Prime Time Cafe Lunch/Dinner

We have eaten here many times, and it is always good, therefore we never hesitate to make a reservation on any trip we come. It is consistently good food and a fun location. I got the sampler and it was outstanding. My husband got pork chops and he said it was also great!!!! We did not have the dining plan on this meal, so we did not get dessert.
We did have to wait a little bit for our table even though we did have a reservation but it wasn't an excessive wait. We waited a little longer than I would have liked to -once we were seated - for things like our drinks and then also for our check. But they were busy, so I can't really be unfair and unkind. Our server was very sweet and we liked her. She didn't necessarily go nuts with the whole Mom's table gag, etc. But we have found that to be the case often because we are just a couple of adults with no kids. Sometimes the servers don't play around too much with us - even though we would invite and enjoy the fun.
At any rate - good quality meal and an enjoyable evening.

Pros:

Fun place and good food

Cons:

always crowded
