We ordered from room service several times on our recent three night cruise. Two evenings for a bedtime snack we chose the All Hands on Deck cheese plate. This is kind of a vague menu description: A selection of international cheeses. They don't tell you what they are, so you're kind of left to guess unless it's very obvious. The first night we received three cheeses; the final night, five. Each time a different kind of cracker accompanied it. We also ordered cookies (oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip). I had previously read these were "huge" but alas, they ask how many you would like, and they're actually pretty small.
We also ordered from the continental breakfast menu one morning, with an 8-8:30 delivery time. They delivered early, around 7:50. We chose two fruit bowls (plentiful and delicious) and I had cereal; we also asked for the items listed as "assortment of muffins" and "danishes". Somewhat confusing, as they do not mean you will GET an assortment of muffins, but rather they HAVE an assortment of muffins and will select one for you! We received one muffin (coconut?) and one cinnamon roll as the danish. Now we know better for next time!
Keep an envelope of small bills in an accessible place where anyone in your room can find it when room service delivers. There were a couple of occasions where my mom was on the phone or in the bathroom when the server arrived and I did not know where the envelope was to tip them!

Nice cool but crowded room. Accommodating cast members. Think they changed the burgers. It was warm flavorful and juicy.

Very nice cast members. Rice cream is best ever. Daughter loved almond pretzel. Shop is very tight for movement and eating area dark and tight because of building new frozen attraction.

The best rib eye this steak lover has ever had. I even tried the marrow - surprisingly good. Pricey, but worth it. So convenient to our Beach Club villa.

Food was great and plentiful. Short rib and polenta was terrific. Desserts are lovely tastes of everything. Chocolate Oreo bombs are intense. Characters came three times each and fun with our granddaughter. Did not wait long for table. We had a great server named Tim. Would have given it a 10 but 50 per person is way to much.

We ate here 4/27 for lunch for my daughter's 4th birthday at 2 pm. We have never been to a character meal before as this was our first experience. Granted, my daughter's favorite princess is Rapunzel and she knew she wouldn't be there and that is okay but we figured it would still be a fun and cute experience. Overall my daughter liked the experience. The waitress was pleasant, the greeting staff was nice. As Snow White came to our table I watched her ask my daughter how old she was and I guess Belle started walking towards her and as my daughter is answering her question and talking to her Snow White looked up and started conversing with Belle, blatantly ignoring my daughter talking to her. My daughter was sitting there talking to her and she was not even looking at her. It bugged me so much I almost started to tear up on the spot. I know that not every interaction with a character is perfection every time but this was my daughter's birthday, she asked her a question and she showed a blatant disregard for her. Of course my daughter did not really notice and went about her meal but it made me really sad for the rest of the day. I feel like the characters do an amazing job and if I was in this position I would never let my attention slip one single person and I would treat every single child as if they were the only child that was there 100%.
Pros:
friendly waitress, didn't have to wait long for tableCons:

We arrived at AOA on Saturday, April 16, 2016 and stayed for 13 nights. We had done online check in and gave an arrival time of 11am. At 10:30am I received a text message indicating our room was ready. We were driving and still in Georgia at this point. The text included our room number and a link for a map. I had printed a map before leaving home so I already knew exactly where to go. When making our initial reservations, I requested a room in building 7 nearest the Lion King section. This would be the closest to the food court, bus stops, store, etc. During online check in my requests were near transportation and lake view. ALL of these requests were met. Upon arrival our magic bands worked perfect getting into our room. Our first impressions were great. We loved the theming in our room and out. Our view of the lake and Pop Century were great. Beds are double beds. We aren't large people so this wasn't an issue but we definitely could tell the difference from our queen at home. Now for the walk from the Little Mermaid rooms to Animation Hall and the bus stops. The first few days we thought, this isn't so bad. However towards the end of the two weeks it felt longer. Everyone has their own opinion on what a long walk is. In preparation for this we brought our own little coffee maker with all the fixings to make our morning coffee in the room. That ended up being a life saver. I found one on clearance and bought disposable coffee cups and spoons from our local dollar store. I brought sugar and coffee from home and found a jug of milk from our local grocery store that had a two week date on it. Being that we were driving we were able to bring a lot of stuff from home that normally would have to be bought on site. That meant there was no need to buy the refillable mugs. Our stay, as always, was amazing. I firmly believe no matter what resort we choose we will always have a great time. It is Disney after all. Having said that, we probably will only stay at AOA again if we need a family suite. Mainly because our goal is to stay at a different resort each time we go.

We dined here on April 17, 2016 around 1pm. I can't remember what time we checked in but I do remember we only waited about 5 minutes for our table. There were just two of us, adults. Our table was right by the door to the kitchen. Some might find this annoying but it didn't make much difference to us. Our waiter was very nice. I really need to write their names down. I always say I'll remember but I never do. Anyhow, both hubby and I ordered the meatloaf. It came with corn and mashed potatoes. It was delicious. Portions perfect. Would definitely eat here again.

Hubby and I had a late lunch here on April 19, 2016. We waited about 15-20 minutes for a table. This is a must do for us every trip. We both got the build your own angus burger with fries. It was delicious. Atmosphere was the same as always but that and the food is what keeps us coming back. Our waitress was really funny and good at her job.
