Review of Cinderella's Royal Table Dinner

We went to Cinderella's Royal Table for Dinner, mostly because we wanted to try it & see the inside of the castle. If we could have gotten a reservation for breakfast, I'm sure we would have enjoyed it more, but for dinner it is just so below Disney quality, it is surprisingly bad.
I am a Disney super-fan, addict, whatever you want to call me so most of the time, in my eyes Disney can do no wrong. Which is why I was was surprisingly disappointed with this experience. After we were checked in we were told Cinderella wasn't available to do our photo so they would come and get us durin gour meal to come down and do it, which was just really inconvenient. I would have rather done it at the end but then we would have had to wait around for the picture. Anyway the what should have been enchanting spiral staircase leading up to the dining room was well, filthy, and musty and desperately needs to be cleaned. Once we were in the dining I was surprised by the thickness in the air and the smell wasn't a smell that made my mouth water, it was more of a hospital cafeteria type smell. While our waitress was wonderful, attentive and helpful, she was definitely the highlight of this experience.
There is no way to sugar caot this- the food is bad. The rolls served before dinner were the best part. I 100% understand that you're there for the experience, but I mean come ON at least try a little bit with the food! Its Disney, there is NO excuse for such poor quality food, period. We did laugh and smile and enjoy the little wishing ceremony and the princesses were absolutley delightful but the meal itself and the poor ventilation or whatever it was kinda left me with a pretty disappointed feeling. I mean, its Cinderella Castle and it is NOT cheap, it is THE Disney World icon, you would think they would really want to dazzle whomever was able to land such a coveted reservation. But I guess they don't have to, so they dont- which kind of stinks if you ask me.
Anyway, I've heard Akerhaus in Norway at Epcot is better and less expensive so maybe we'll try it next time to compare.
To sum it up, I have dreamed of being inside that castle since I was a little girl and I was disappointed- boo hoo poor me 😉 Not the end of the world and I still adore all things Disney but seriously, LET THE BUYER BEWARE!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. We stayed in a studio, which was clean and spacious. The balcony overlooked the woods which was nice and peaceful. The lobby is wonderul and welcoming. We enjoyed a good amount of time in the pool and hot tub. We also rented sea raycers and cruised around on Bay Lake for a while which was SO fun. Every cast member we saw or spoke to was helpful and friendly. I really cannot say enough good things about this resort. It is just beautiful, relaxing, fun and welcoming all at the same time.
The only issue we had was the noise level in the rooms. I think we travel enough to be able to tell the difference between just very loud neighbors and when the walls are just too thin- or whatever the reason, but we could hear our neighbors on BOTH sides, VERY well- too well. Luckily they weren't up too late or too early for it to really disturb us but at one point while we were decompessing one afternoon the noise just got to be too much we actually had to leave the room.
That one negative aspect however, will not keep us from coming back. Wilderness lodge is SO SO SO nice and relxing, we'll defintely be back.

We recently dined here with the Fantasmic Dining Package. The service took forever! I ordered the charred strip steak and it was very fatty with lots of cartilage. My young son ordered from the kids menu, cheese pizza. It was no bigger than the palm of my hand. Since we were dining under the Fantasmic Package we weren't allowed to order individual desserts. We were brought a plate with four small samples and they were the worst desserts we have ever eaten at Disney. If you want VIP seating for fantasmic they now offer fast passes during the day, signs are posted all over the park where to obtain these. I would definitely skip dining here.

Nice place to eat, the toppings bar was a pleasant surprise, lots to choose from. If you are on the Disney dining plan, you can upgrade your drink to a large without any additional charge.

My family and I ate here on April 26th we had reservations for 8:10 and we arrived at 7:00 they sat us right away our server, Pablo, was AMAZING. Food was outstanding. We have been dining at this restaurant for 5 years in a row and this had to be the best meal. One of the waitresses was walking by and knocked into my husband and dropped a whole cup of gelato on his back all over his shirt. After we finished laughing at him, the manager, Dimas, had a new shirt waiting for him. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for GREAT food and always a friendly staff.

This is one of my favorite Disney World restaurants and it delivers consistently great food, wine/cocktails and service. It is a serene and upscale (but welcoming) retreat from the theme park. A bonus is you can often get a same day reservation. I only wish they would install a lounge/bar since they have some of the best cocktails and wine on property. And yes,the Cobb salad is the best ever!
Pros:
great food, great service, tranquility, decorCons:

My husband and I ate here for the second time on April 9th. We were about a half hour early for our 7:10 reservation, and were seated immediately.
We each started with a glass of sangria, and it was cool and refreshing. For an appetizer, we shared the crab cakes, which were some of the best we have ever had.
My husband had the filet and risotto as his main course, and I had the lobster tail with green beans and mashed potatoes. Both entrees came out hot and were very tasteful.
This restaurant is one of the best on Disney property, and I highly recommend it!
