This was again a place I was looking forward to try a lot. The theme of the restaurant was great, being on a old boat was great. The food was also very good. Being from Baltimore, I knew the crab cakes wouldn't be as good as home but I was still impressed. The steak and snow crab was also cooked very well. The service we got was great, never had to wait too long for a refill or the food. I definitely recommend making a reservation. When we left, they had at least 30 people outside waiting.

The decision to upgrade to the deluxe dining plan was one of the best decisions of the trip. Let's be honest without the deluxe plan I wouldn't of tried some of the more "expensive" restaurants. With this we were able to try the Royal Castle as well as the steakhouse. The plan is very much worth it, you get tons of food at every meal. The best thing is the price, the plan cost us $800 extra for 2 people, 6 days, from no plan to deluxe $800, seems like a lot but we kept up with how much it would've cost which ended up to be $1500 worth of food, this to me is well worth it. Because of that, and let's be honest, without that, most people wouldn't spend that much at Disney. You would eat out of the parks and miss some great food and a great experience!
Pros:
Definetly worth the buyCons:

I've never been to a Planet Hollywood but have tried a Hard Rock. I actually went in thinking this was a Hard Rock and was not paying much attention, never really liking Hard Rock. Planet Hollywood, on the other hand, was great. I am a movie buff and having all the memorabilia on the wall was very nice to look at. The food we got, fajitas, mozzarella sticks and milkshakes were great. And the server we had was very fun. It was lunch and not very busy so I guess he spent his time giving better service and interacting with his guests which made it a lot better visit.
Pros:
Very cool atmosphereCons:

My husband and I stayed here (2nd time) for our anniversary. We stayed 4/2-4/8. We were shocked that our room was ready when we checked in, and we're pleasantly surprised to to have been upgraded to a savannah view room. Nothing better! Our room was clean and mouse keeping was phenomenoal - our room was always ready when we returned.
Pros:

Participated in bonfire and movie-both were great. Food Court had decent options..again staff was great. All around good visit!!!

My daughter and I stayed in the Little Mermaid standard rooms in April 2013. Check-in was efficient, cast members fun and enthusiastic. we ate lunch at the food court. It's nothing fancy but serves its purpose. My daughter loves to swim so we tried both the Little Mermaid pools and the Big Blue Pool. Art of Animation obviously has the best pools of the value resorts.
Each section is wonderfully done - Cars, Nemo, Lion King and Little Mermaid. We enjoyed walking around and looking at all the details.
We stayed for only one night. We did not travel anywhere by bus so I cannot comment on the bus service.
We would return.

We don't ever stay at the Poly - it's beyond our price range - but we do like to visit to eat when we go to DW. We love 'Ohana and this time around my daughter and I tried Kona for breakfast (and dinner).
I think it's worth a drive over just to get a look at the hotel. Breakfast was reasonably priced. I ordered the Big Kahuna and loved it.
Price is reasonable, location is loud but right in the middle of everything at the Poly, service was good. I would definitely return.
Pros:
it's at the Poly!Cons:

My daughter and I recently stayed for 2 nights. We had a standard room with a view of the parking lot. Check-in was efficient. Our only negative experience came at the concierge desk. One of the clerks ignored me before another helped me with getting a ticket to the park.
With only 2 people in our party, the room had more than enough room. My daughter (8) loved the pool. We took the boat to Downtown Disney and then rode it back to Riverside before walking to French Quarter. On a nice April evening, this was a very pleasant trip.
Bus service was no problem. We waited 10 minutes for a MK bus. During our stay, FQ did not share bus service with Riverside.
We have stayed at a few of the All-Star hotels, Fort wilderness and Art of Animation in the past. French Quarter has a lot to offer. For one, it is a compact resort. It is small (but not too small). We stayed in Building 7, furthest from the lobby and pool and walking was no problem. This would be one resort where the refillable mug may be worth it based on the length of your stay as it is not a long walk to get something to drink.
If there is a negative, it is the limited on-site dining. The ordering area can be congested but with a smaller resort, you would expect less eating area so that is only a small complaint.
I did not know if my daughter would enjoy the resort's theme but she thought the room was beautiful and loved the theme throughout the resort. She loved the pool.
I would definitely return to this resort in the future.
Pros:
easy to walk around, great location, boat transportation to downtown disneyCons:

My husband and I ate here on 4/7 and we ordered a bottle of African Wine and both got the fillets. The meat itself was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, though it was a bit overly salty for my taste. The steaks were served with some sort of grain, which neither my hubby or I were keen on trying. There were also some Brussels Sprouts, which I was looking forward to. I found the Brussells Sprouts in edible.
The bread we got before dinner wasn't quite my style either. (since when does a fat girl pass up bread?!)
Dessert was delicious, but service was very slow. I'm glad we went, because now I never have to go back.
Pros:
Perfectly cooked filletCons:

Organic Chicken and Ruby Red Grapefruit Salad on shredded savoy cabbage with mustard-grapefruit dressing. This salad was fresh, delectable, and such a treat! I drank a Pisco sour (a little heavy on the bitters but otherwise very good), and for dessert had warm, gooey, lemon pound-cake with marinated blueberries and chantilly cream. This was a delicious lunch. I can't wait to eat here again.
