My family of four stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms at AOA for 10 days in March. We had an absolutely amazing time! After many negative reviews, we were concerned about the walk from the Little Mermaid section to the main building. The walk is perfectly fine!! It was not far at all! We truly enjoyed the walk from LM to the main building because each time, we got to experience seeing something new in the Lion King section.
We all really enjoyed the variety and quality of the food at the food court. There were plenty of options for all of our different food preferences.
We found Mousekeeping to be ok. There were a couple of days when there seemed to be quite a bit of trash on the grounds near the trash cans (where people had missed the trash can), but for the most-part, the resort was very well-kept. Our room was cleaned daily, and it always looked great when we returned to the room in the evenings.
The bus transportation was great. We were there during spring break...a very busy time, and the transportation was fine. Of course we had to wait for a bus sometimes, but again, it was spring break. Disney seemed to be prepared for the amount of guests that they had to accommodate during that time.
The entire resort is gorgeous, and Disney did an incredible job with the overall theme! We will definitely be back to AOA in the future!!

Beautiful resort; fun pools; food courtCons:

I recommend Coral Reef because I know of many times that the food was delicious. Unfortunately, on 4/5 it was very boring and left a lot to be desired. My husband wasn't looking forward to this meal, however I was. It's always been a favorite. Not anymore. Once they get the menu back to where it used to be, I'll give it another shot. I left quite disappointed, as it's my favorite restaurant.
Our waitress, Patty, was awesome though. She offered to bring me other entrees to make up for my disappointment.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night on April 9th (I had to get my Disney fix before going down south for my brother's wedding). We were in a corner room on the 4th floor of building #7 in the Little Mermaid section. Our room faced the lake and Pop Century. I can't remember the room number, but it was a great location and very quiet.
The room was fine for 2 adults. However, we had to call Mousekeeping, because there were dead bugs all over the ceiling and something had been splashed against the wall of the vanity and never wiped clean. They came right away, but we never should have had to call them in the first place. I expect more from Disney having visited 28 times. I've stayed everywhere from the Grand Floridian to All Star Movies, and everywhere in between, and have never had to call Mousekeeping for a dirty room upon arrival.
I don't understand why there are a lot of complaints about the walk from the Little Mermaid section to Animation Hall. We found it to be lovely. It's honestly not bad at all. There are worse walks at Port Orleans Riverside.
We ate at Landscape of Flavors just to get a snack before going to our room. My husband had an iced coffee and I had a smoothie. The wait was short, and check out was a breeze.
I would have given the resort a 10 had it not been for the dirty room. We are coming back in July for a week with our 4 kids and staying in the Finding Nemo area. I can't wait!!!!

My husband and I had breakfast here on April 10th. We have eaten lunch here twice in the past, so we new what to expect. This restaurant is one of Disney's hidden gems.
The service is top notch and the food is delicious. I had the fruit plate with a side of bacon, and my husband had scrambled eggs with pancakes. To drink, we each had a cup of tea.
We are returning in July for dinner. I can hardly wait!!!!

This is one of my favourite places to catch breakfast! Its so peaceful and has such a variety of food (the bread pudding is delicious -I'd recommend it). This breakfast buffet is so under-rated and everytime I've been its never been busy where we've had to wait for a table. This place is very good value for the price you pay for the buffet. Its nice to go to a quiet buffet before a busy day in the parks.
FYI -They have single pieces of butter with Mickeys face on it! So cute that I took a pic haha!
We vistited here twice during our trip.

After reading good and bad reviews about 50's Prime Time and reading about how the servers go into character with you -I wanted to experience it for myself. When we got there it was very busy. ~We were called for our table after 10-15 mins. All the tables feel and look like they've been crammed in to make room for more tables. Our server was fun and was in character. My partner was told off for having elbows on the table so after that and whenever we saw our Server we didn't know where to put our elbows haha. Its pretty loud in there but thats what makes it fun! I ordered the Mega Berry smoothie with omega 3 and it was delicious. For Dinner I ordered Grandma's Chicken Pot Pie and there was loads of it -which I didn't expect. The chunks of chicken in it were big and I had to cut them in half so I could eat them. In the end I left some to make room for dessert lol. For dessert you look through a toy from your childhood (I've forgotten its name) to view what they have for dessert. I had the s'mores and it was nice. By the end of our meal we were very full. The food portions at this restaurant are big and filling. I'd go back 🙂

I will NEVER go to Tony's again unless there is a drastic change! I'd read reviews saying how bad it was in there but my partner decided that we go anyway. We where seated quickly and at a wonky table. The CM took our order and our food came out within 10 mins -with it being out so quick I knew it was going to be bad. It was! I ordered the spagetti and meatballs and it was horrible -hardly any sauce over it so it was dry and the meatballs were "warm" but cold in the middle which makes me think they were out of the freezer and where not defrosted properly. I ate what I could (which wasn't even the majority of it) and then we left. Your so cramped in at Tony's. We where there about 30 mins if that.
If there was any -numbers, Tony's would of been given a -10.
I understand the demand at restaurants at WDW but they need to stop cramming people in!!

Ate here for breakfast on April 8, 2013. First time to Disneyland and we wanted to have a fun character breakfast. My 8 and 14 year old thought this was fun and a great way to start a day at Disneyland. Good food and fun character experience. We were surprised just how many characters came by (Captain Hook, Pooh, Chip, Dale, Minnie, Pluto, Tigger, Eeyore and Fairy Godmother)! A great meal for a good price!

We stayed at Art of Animation from 2nd April to 14th April. We had a great time & would definitely come back!
We are a party of 2 adults and had a room in building 9 (King Triton) in the Little Mermaid area.
Out of the 3 blocks in the L.M. area, building 9 is the best one IMO. You can walk alongside the parking lot instead of through the resort, which saves a few precious foot steps! Some of the rooms in building 7 have lakeside views of POP, which would be nice too. Our room overlooked the pool on the 2nd floor, and at first we thought it would be noisier. But we found this not to be a problem at all. We hardly heard any noise from other rooms either. We heard occasional noise overhead but this wasn't excessive and therefore bearable (and we heard this when we slept in later- when we weren't awake early for EMH!)
We had a king room which was great, and plenty of room for us two. Not much storage space though as one side of the cabinet is where the fridge is. The 'grotto' shower area freaked me out at first but I ended up loving our room- great Disney theming!!
Mousekeeping was good, we got several towel animals including an elaborate lobster!! Amazing. We tipped every other day or so. There was one day where we didn't get Mousekeeping, so we called for extra towels and explained why we needed them.
Had refillable mugs but a long way to walk to and from the food court when you have been walking around the parks all day! Luckily we could stock up from a store off-site and kept a fridge of water bottles- I would definitely recommend doing this if possible.
We found Landscape of Flavors to be great and didn't have a bad meal. Throughout our stay, we have breakfast there most mornings and occasionally lunch or dinner. I'll post more in the dining review.
Bus service worked well, we had to stand up a bunch of times but we've always had to, especially over the Easter period. We appreciated the waiting areas being covered over unlike other Value resorts.
Overall, a really positive experience and I would definitely return. We stayed at POP last year, and the general amenities are much better, brighter, more 'Disney' at A of A. We both agreed that our stay was brilliant.

We are a DVC members and our home resorts are Bay Lake Towers and Saratoga Springs. We chose Old Key West for the overall resort feel, to try another resort and for the larger rooms. We stayed March 31st through April 6th 2013. We had 7 people in our group, 5 kids ranging from 16 to 6.
We really enjoyed this resort. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and it was quite large and very nice. Our view was of a golf green and a pond, it was very relaxing. We cooked most of our meals in the room and it had most of what we needed. We also have learned not to bring a lot of clothes and to do laundry in the room. We were able to park right outside our room which was on the ground floor. Our room was ready when we got there which was around noon
We were near the main buildings and main pool. When we didn't go to the parks we used the main pool a lot and it was a lot of fun. I was amazed by the amount of life guards and activity directors they had at the pool. It was very safe and they had activities going all day. The kids used the basketball courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball court and shuffle board area. They also really enjoyed the pool slide. We didn't eat at any of the resort restaurants but the kids did get refillable mugs which they enjoyed.
Overall we really liked Old Key West and it has become one of our favorites. Very relaxing and we will definitely be back. The service at the store was great, they went above and beyond to make sure some coffee mugs we bought would make it home safe.
