Review of Be Our Guest Dinner

I don't dole out a "10" rating lightly, but Be Our Guest deserves it.
Our waiter, Chris, was amazing. He told us when to have our cameras ready so we could get a picture of the Beast when he made his surprise entrance (we also got to take pictures with him in the library).
The wine was awesome (Chris recommended Conundrum--it was AMAZING), so was the beer.
The charcuterie board was delicious, but be warned it has two pates (but we love pate!).
Entrees were good--the steak and pork chops were the favorites, the seafood in puff pastry was just okay.
Dessert was awesome--the strawberry cupcake is the best. We had a birthday in our party and got to try "the grey stuff!" So cute!
And of course, the atmosphere is better than anything Disney has ever done before!

Pros:

Food, service, atmosphere, pictures with Beast!

Loved the concept of the drive-in, and we liked the short movie promos and clips. The menu isn't anything special, but what we got was good--the turkey sandwich was fresh, and the buffalo chicken was good. It's fun to do once!

Pros:

Fun experience, decent food, great service

Cons:

Somewhat limited menu (but that's being picky)

I appreciate a good salad while in the park--this one has lettuce, olives, tomatoes, pepperoni, and salami. Be sure to stir it up since the meat is on the bottom. The dining companions said the pizza was okay. The games were not fun, overpriced, and often broken. Bummer.

Pros:

Really good salad!

Cons:

Games are broken and/or overpriced

Oh Columbia Harbour House, your second floor continues to be a sanity-saver in the madness of the Magic Kingdom! The Lighthouse sandwich was delicious as always, and a nice alternative for people eating healthy that are sick of salads! Good fries and chicken tenders too.

Pros:

Upstairs seating, Lighthouse Sandwich

Yeah, we almost missed seeing Peter topiary on top of the building in Great Britian until a girl next to me pointed up and yelled, "Peter!" The croc there was so funny. I posed my friend in front of him and took her picture and it looked like he was licking her. Funny! Also, the dragon in China that looks like he is breathing smoke (water mist... wait for it :)).
I loved the poppies by the OZ display especially the orange ones! And of course all the flowers along the bank by the butterfly house were gorgeous! Ah, I wish I was still there. Have fun at the Festival!

Pros:

many topiaries, beautiful flowers everywhere

Review of Landscape of Flavors - Lunch/Dinner

We had excellent food each lunch we had here. The Surf and Surf (yummmm!) and Chicken Burger were great! Service at the order lines could definitely be faster, I waited 15 minutes for them to put a scoop of mac and cheese and fries on plate for my son. I know that freshly prepared food is better, but it sure does take a long time to get all the food for a family of 6. It would help people like me, who have 4 children, if they would just have one line for all kids meals!

Pros:

Food Quality

Cons:

Long lines and slow service

We were a party of 17 had dinner on 2/17. We were seated promptly and all at one table! Our server was excellent. My dh says that the pork chop is the best thing he ate all week! The banana chocolate creme brulee was wonderful! My only complaint is that it is very noisy as the restaurant is located in the lobby of the main building.

Pros:

Service and Food

Cons:

Noisy

Review of 50's Prime Time Cafe Lunch/Dinner

We had lunch at 50's on 3/20. We were seated within minutes of our reservation. The meatloaf, pot roast and fried chicken were all even better than we remembered. The wedge salad was also great. Our teenagers had the Ceaser and chicken noodle soup which was excellent - very fresh and homemade tasting. Other than the high prices, which are everywhere at WDS, the meal was very good...my only complaint is the fun has almost disappeared! Our waitress was ok...she tried to crack a few jokes and tease, but it seemed forced. Instead of really interacting with guests, the staff seemed to make comments in passing - and they weren't that busy. Disney should hire CM that fit the role of the bossy "mother" or at least a cranky "uncle". The experience here is so much better if CM are in character. We spent our lunch reminicing about the days when our kids had to sing "I'm a little teapot" for putting their elbows on the table! Still one of the most consistant table service meals you can find @ WDW.

Pros:

good food, large portions

Cons:

not as much fun as it used to be

Review of Pop Century Resort (Value Resort)

We stayed at POP after hearing how everyone loved it over All Stars. Honestly, don't see what all the hype was about. Nor do I see why it costs more than All Stars. It is the same layout as All Stars. We stayed in a nonpreferred room - got the 50s section which was far from the food court. At least at ASMovies, the standard rooms are right next to the food court for ASMusic. I requested a ground floor room. We got the 4th floor. There were a lot of high school groups so in retrospect, I'm glad they didn't put me on the ground floor with them.

When we checked in, my DH room key did not work for charging. After several trips to the front desk trying to sort it out (they had to cancel and rebook the room for some reason and ended up giving us extra meals on our DDP), we got his to work, but then my and 3 kid keys didn't open the doors. We gave up and just dealt with it.

It was fine. Small. Nothing special. We don't spend much time in our room.

Pros:

cost

Cons:

small

Review of Family Magic Tour - Magic Kingdom

We tried out the tour this trip since we were going to have 4 mornings in MK. We have APs so we go to the parks a lot and like to try out new things. That being said, I would not recommend it to someone who only has a week vacation every year or less often. The tour is from 10-12 (prime hours to not have to wait in lines).

We had 3 out of the 6 kids on the tour on 2/10. It is a lot of walking from Main Street to Adventureland to Liberty Square to Fantasyland to Tomorrowland and then back down Main Street. We were able to take a stroller but it won't be as much fun for kids that depend on a stroller. My kids were 6, 8 and 8 and loved it!

Our tour guide was wonderful! Really made it magical. It was a scavenger hunt with clues all over different areas of the park. Also, more fun if your kids have good knowledge of the parks.

SPOILER
We all rode Pooh ride (skipping the line) and then met Peter Pan. At the end we got our photo with Mickey. We did not get any certificates, as I read that they have done in the past.

Pros:

something fun & different to do

Cons:

during am hours
