Review of Disney Dining Plan

We've used the dining plan on our last four trips since 2006 and are using it again on our upcoming trip. This is a great value for myself, my husband, and our two boys, now ages 12 & 16. This site is an HUGE help in planning meals with all the menus listed. I can figure out what everyone will most likely get, how much it would cost, and we come out ahead using the plan. Sure, we could get by on the cheap, but on vacation we like to splurge a little. When we go to a buffet, we have to use four credits. But we've found at most places, we can split 2-3 meals between the four of us because the portions are large and dessert is included. That way, we also get to try more choices. On our upcoming trip, we're only coming out of pocket for lunch on the drive there and dinner on the way back. We're doing sit down meals at Big River Grille, Sci-Fi, Olivia's, Planet Hollywood, Tony's, Kona Cafe, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Boma, and Be Our Guest. Counter service meals will be at Fairfax Fare, Blizzard Beach, Pepper Market 3 times, Gasparilla Island Grill, Pecos Bill's, Yak & Yeti quick serve, and Earl of Sandwich. Snack credits will be used at Food & Wine Festival. We've also used snacks for breakfasts.

Had breakfast there Saturday May 4, 2013 with my wife and son. The room is absolutely beautiful, dark wood trim, light colored walls high ceiling and plenty of room, it looked like they could easily fit 5 or 6 more tables in the dining room. My son had the waffles and the cinnamon roll, I had a little taste and the waffles were great served with plenty of pecans (but I couldn't get near the bun which was garnished with fresh berries). My wife had the breakfast skillet which she loved, she said the arugula perfectly balanced the richness of the eggs and hash. I had the spinach, tomato and feta scramble which was delicious and had a perfect balance of ingredients. The service was exceptional, always available but never intrusive. We sat right by the open kitchen and it was amazing to watch the chiefs at work. It was difficult not returning for breakfast Sunday morning.

When I arrived 4/28, my requested room in Bldg 9 near El Centro was not ready at check-in time, so they downgraded me to Bldg 4. They asked what floor I preferred, I replied ground floor. They put me on 4th floor. The TV didn't work every morning--desk said because it had been raining. The toilet flooded the bathroom one night, so we were 2 hours late getting to bed.
Next time I'll be going to Port Orleans--I understand they now have queen-size beds.

My family and I tried this restaurant this past Saturday. We have eaten at every restaurant around the Walt Disney Parks so we are well aware of the prices at the restaurants. We experienced great service and the food was delicious. While we knew the prices were high, we were quite dismayed at the amount of food received for the price. (2 adults/2 children) We ordered 1 soup, 1 large pizza, 1 lasagne verde and 1 candele. The cost was 109.00!!!! I would not have minded paying the money if the portion size of the lasagne and candele was not the size of a child's palm! (literally) The portion size was smaller than an average appetizer at other restaurants. If you choose to try this restaurant steer clear of anything except the pizza... the portions are smaller than a child meal at any other restaurant. You should not leave a restaurant hungry after paying such exorbitant prices.

I have eaten here 4 times in as many years. I have never been disappointed. This time it was just myself and my DD17. I had the pumpkin ravioli and my daughter had the spaghetti with tomato sauce. We were very pleased with both dishes. Service was very prompt and friendly.

I ate here with a very large party of moms and teens. Staff was very accommodating and menu has a lot of variety. Food was good and restaurant is multi-leveled and very cool. It is extremely loud though.

I ate here with 4 moms and 4 teens after competing late at the Cheerleading Worlds. I had called the WDW Dining line to find a restaurant open late after Mama Melrose refused to seat us even though they hadn't closed yet. P37 was open until midnight. We hurried down there and were seated immediately. I had never even heard of this place so was very pleasantly surprised. We had a variety of things from quesadillas, salads, and specialty platters. Service was very pleasant and food was good and fresh.

I had 1 dinner here during my recent stay. The food court itself was very disappointing because the different stations seem to duplicate each other. The one station which advertised the night's specialty was already closed. I had a tilapia sandwich which had to be cooked to order so it took about 7 minutes. I was okay with that since it would be fresh; but it had so much cayenne on it, it was inedible. After having stayed at one of the AS resorts the last 2 years, they boast a much better food court. The pasta salad the came with sandwich was also not very tasty.

I had a variety of breakfasts over my 6 days stay. The food just sits out until plated so it got cold very quickly. The french toast and waffles both tasted slightly stale by the time we were able to find a table and eat. Food court was extremely loud and there did not seem to be enough tables. I think it is just easier to eat once you arrive at the parks.

I ate here for both breakfast and dinner during my 6 day trip. Breakfast was not much different then what was available in our hotel's food court; but was a lot less crowded.
For dinner, I had the BBQ Pork chop with cheddar mashed potatoes. It was good and did not taste like a counter service meal.
