DH and I ate here on April 25, with a 7 pm reservation. We loved the entertainment and atmosphere - the band was incredible, and the dancing was fun to watch. We sang along with songs whenever we were invited/instructed to do so, and had a great time. Bread service comes with a Guiness reduction, which was so good, I looked up the recipe and made it at home the first day we got back from our trip. I think we cleaned up the whole portion that we were given. I had fish and chips, which were pretty normal (although the fish kept falling out of its breading), and DH had the heavenly ham, which was a giant portion, and really did taste quite heavenly. I had a few bites, and would whole-heartedly recommend it. It comes with two sauces on the plate - the sweet raisin sauce is a bit jarring with the ham (and I usually love sweet things), but the cheesy sauce is to die for. For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding. The couple next to us had a different server and were given bread pudding for free to celebrate their anniversary. We were also celebrating our anniversary (and had on our buttons), but our server still charged us for the dessert. A little disappointing because of the inconsistency, but the bread pudding was spectacular. One of the best desserts of the trip.

Pros:

Entertainment, Bread Pudding, Guiness Reduction

Cons:

DH and I ate a late dinner here on April 24. Most of the other counter-service options in DHS were closed when we were ready for dinner (7:30-ish), and so our choices were very limited. We got a turkey sandwich and chicken nuggets, as well as the limited-time-magic Worms and Dirt cupcake. I asked for no fries with my nuggets so I could get a price break, so I paid a few dollars less, but my entree still came with fries. The nuggest and sandwich were both very ho-hum, especially for what was being charged. The cupcake was wonderful, but since it is a limited time magic cupcake, it won't be available any more, so I didn't factor that into my rating. In my opinion, DHS really needs to work on its counter-service options, especially later in the evening.

Pros:

Theming

Cons:

Bland food

Review of Be Our Guest Dinner

DH and I had 7:20 dinner reservations at Be Our Guest on April 23. We arrived a little after 7, and there was a huge line/cluster of people waiting for the check-in CMs (two of them). It seemed like many people thought they could just walk up and get in, and had long conversations with the CMs before they were turned away. Others walked down the bridge just to be turned back and get into the line slightly more frustrated. There wasn't any signage explaining where to go, and a lot of chaos/confusion was the result.

Once we were finally called to be seated, I got to carry "Lumiere's brother" to light our way to our seat in the ballroom - we had a great view of the ballroom and into the Library where the Beast was greeting guests. Tables are, however, very close together, so any sort of romantic ambience is hard to accomplish. DH got the steak, and I got the shrimp/scallops in puff pastry. We were both incredibly pleased with our choices. We each got a cupcake for dessert (chocolate for me, strawberry for him), and then got to try the grey stuff since it was our anniversary! It really is delicious.

Food comes out very, very quickly - the table next to us received their entrees 1 minute after they had started their appetizers, so the meal may feel a little rushed if you let it. We took our time and enjoyed the experience, especially meeting the Beast at the end. Overall, a fantastic place to eat if you can get reservations.

Pros:

Food, Atmosphere

Cons:

Check-in

Review of Sleepy Hollow - Liberty Square

DH and I grabbed two Ham/Swiss waffle sandwiches here for lunch on April 23. The building appears to be undergoing a refurbishment currently, so maybe the line doesn't work like it normally does, but there were three separate windows - one for ordering, one for picking up food, and one for picking up drinks. This seemed to cause a lot of confusion among both guests and CMs, and people kept milling about from one window to the other, making things difficult to navigate. However, once we got our sandwiches, we made our way to a table with a wonderful view of the Castle, and had a great, relaxing lunch.

Pros:

Selection, location

Cons:

Review of Beach Club Resort (Deluxe Resort)

I stayed at the Beach Club for four nights 4/21-4/25/13, this is my second time staying at this resort.

The best part by far about staying here is the amazing Stormalong Bay. You will not find a better pool on Disney property. They are strict on checking room keys to get in, which is a plus for guests staying there. The room was very spacious and clean, but I think it was rushed by housekeeping as there were some linens and other basic items missing. Not a big deal, but some things do matter when you're paying Deluxe Resort prices.

The cons- I noticed while walking through the hallways there was paint chipping and scuff marks on the room doors. It doesn't make sense why Disney can't spend a little money to do some basic up keeping. Also, the carpet in the hallways seems outdated and could use a good cleaning.

Other than a few issues, I really enjoy staying at the Beach Club and would stay again just to be close to Epcot and the wonderful pool.

Pros:

pool, distance to Epcot

Cons:

poor up keep of hallways, lack of quick service

DH and I ate here twice on our anniversary trip (April 22 and April 26) for dessert. We tried a chocolate croissant, chocolate mousse, and a chocolate tart (notice the theme?). All of the desserts were wonderful! The prices we felt were quite high for the size of the desserts ($4.50 for less than a cup of mousse?), but this is Disney, so it's to be expected. The first night we were easily able to find a seat at a table, but the second time we had to stand as we ate our treats. We didn't mind, but especially for larger groups or those with kids, it may be problematic.

Pros:

Selection, Taste

Cons:

Price, Seating

Review of Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

DH and I ate at Via Napoli for dinner on April 22nd. We had a 6:20 reservation, arrived at 6:05, and were seated almost immediately even though there were a lot of others waiting. I wanted Quattro Formaggio, and DH wanted Pepperoni, so we were going to order 2 individual pizzas - the CM told us they could just order a large ($8 cheaper than 2 individual) and split it down the middle. The large says it feeds 2-3 people, but it was HUGE! I think we could have reasonably fed 4 people with it (at which point, the price would be much more reasonable), but because we couldn't haul leftovers with us around the park the rest of the night, we made sure we ate it all. It really was delicious - the wood-fire gives it a unique flavor. We took a peak at the dessert menu, but there weren't a lot of choices, and nothing especially chocolate-y, which is a requirement for me, so we opted out of dessert and headed to France instead.

Pros:

Fantastic pizza

Cons:

A little expensive for 2 people
