Our First day at Disney was a monsoon, and we had no plans for going to a park, so in an effort to salvage the day for my three year old I called the kids club. They were very welcoming, the space is bright and had lots of activities, also it gave her a place to play with and meet new friends. At $11.50 per hour, minimum two hours and dinner included this is a bargain, we pay our babysitter here in CT more! The only negative was every day thereafter when we passed the club my daughter wanted to go in!

Having stayed @ almost all of the Disney resorts, the Grand Floridian is by far the crème de la crème of Disney properties. The location to the Magic Kingdom & the monorail is an asset. The lobby is grand & relaxing to sit and listen to the piano players & orchestra. All of the staff are courteous & professional. Upon our last stay, the only disappointment was the lack of cleanliness detail to the room. We were surprised to discover this. The balcony had beer caps on the ground from previous guests. In addition, a child's ponytail holder from a previous guest was found on the floor and a purchase sticker from Best Buy was found stuck to the nightstand. Clearly housekeeping did not carefully take their time when cleaning the room. We didn't complain to management, but in retrospect, we should have. The food court needs to get rid of the arcade games which are loud and distracting. They need to take these out and provide more seating for guest. Despite these few floors, we love the Floridian & will return.

This was our 1st stay for 8 people-3 rooms. I registered on line; arrived about noon & 2 out of 3 rooms were ready! Stayed in Martinique-preferred rooms. We were close to everything and the buses were great! We never waited more than 5 minutes. I thought the pool was great for all kids. They had afternoon activities. We loved just coming back in the evening and sitting out by the water & discussing our day. Food court was adequate and good. I would stay here again.
Pros:
beautiful landscaping, good pool for families, food court was goodCons:

Ate here on 6/11. Characters were very interactive with the kiddos. At at 8:00 a.m. dining reservation. Service was great and quick. Asked for our ticket quick shortly after we sat down, so we could quickly pay to go get in line for Jedi Training Academy. Waiteress assured us she would get all characters over for us to meet before we left. Loved all the food offered on the buffet. It was fresh. One of our favorite character dinings and one many often forget about.

Ate here on 6/12. Good quick service, but overly crowded due to the rain storm that came in. Everyone taking shelther and seats from people actually trying to eat. Good turkey sandwinch, and chicken nuggets just like all the others.

Ate here on 6/10. Food was good. Drinks were over filled making it difficult to carry without spilling especially when juggling multiple trays with a stroller, and trusting your 6 year old with one of the drinks. Drinks should come with lids!

My husband and I dined here twice during our recent stay May 9-14. We were staying at the Beach Club, so it was very convenient.
Lunch. Never again. Poor service, and the food was just awful. Husband got the burger and clam chowder. I got the tuna sandwich and clam chowder combo. I got my meal, and was half way through it before his meal came, and we had to flag down the waitress to ask for it. Let me warn you against the clam chowder. The worst we have ever experienced. We both regretted it all day and into the evening.
Breakfast. We both had the buffet. A wide assortment of choices, all seemed fresh, we made only a couple of disappointing choices. However, there were no plain bread/toast choices. No white, no wheat, no bagels, no English muffins. (The husband likes toast with his eggs). I would go back for breakfast, but for the money, I think I will skip the buffet and just order something from the menu.

My husband I dined here on May 13th. We were seated at a table for two, which was right next to a couple also at a table for two. We were so close we might as well have been dining with them. Husband had the calamari, we split the salad for two, and we both got individual pizzas. Everything was was good, not great, and highly over priced for what it was. Not a good value any way you looked at it. (no dining plan, oop)
Service was, just adequate, nothing more. Incredibly loud. You really can't carry on any sort of conversation. Would I go back? Yes,but only on the outdoor patio, maybe for a light salad lunch or an evening coffee and desert. Never for a full meal again.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel May 4 - May 8 2013. Our room was in the Fantasy Tower. The room was very nice, and we had a wonderful view of the fireworks. My five year old loved the fireworks headboard ,it really added that magical touch. The walk to the parks was quick, and going thru downtown Disney made it more enjoyable. We had breakfast twice at Tangaroa Terrace, once at Goofy's Kitchen, and once at Steakhouse 55. All three were great, my sons favorite was Goofy's and my husband loved Steakhouse 55, I liked all three. We would definitely stay here again!
