We stayed here a few nights before checking into AKL. We ended up wishing we had stayed at Coronado for the entire trip.....our kids liked this resort better.

Stayed May 11-16. Loved being able to see the animals and the overall atmosphere of the resort.
Disliked the size of the room.....way too small for price we paid. The bathroom size was very small and the lighting terrible. For a deluxe resort we didn't feel we received any upgrade compared to a moderate.

Price vs. value, size of roomReview of La Cantina de San Angel

Very little choice and not very good, especially for the price.
We used to love the Cantina, before they changed the menu. It had a wide varietyon the menu to choose from, including side dishes such as rice and beans, and everything was delicious.
Now, you get a couple teeny tiny dry little tortillas with some dry little meat and a lime, with a pile of cold, greasy tortilla chips. Blech.
Or, worse yet, "nachos" which consist of more tortilla chips with that nasty, disgusting fake yellow "cheese" sauce dumped on. More blech.
I was SO disappointed I almost cried. Really. Just a darn shame.

I went to Pinocchio Village Haus recently, it was less crowded then it usually is when I go there. I guess it’s because most people that day were waiting in line for Be Our Guest and Gaston’s Tavern, which are a short walk away. But it was way too hot and I’m way too lazy to stand around so me and my family moseyed on over to Pinocchio.
The food is usually pretty good at this Counter Service. I got the Meatball Sub this time around, it comes with French Fries as a side. I didn’t know that it did, I’m usually forced into getting the hard house chips at the resort with it. I decided to stay away from the Flatbread’s because they didn’t look good at all. They looked like large crackers with ketchup on it. For dessert I got the Chocolate Gelato, it was pretty good. It was nice to get something cold on a very hot Florida day. Plus it’s something different, I didn’t feel like getting the same old Carrot or Chocolate cake, it seems like those things are everywhere.
I like the look of the joint, it reminds me of Santa’s workshop for some reason. I guess it’s appropriate because Geppetto is a toymaker just like Santa’s elves. There’s numerous paintings of Pinocchio and the rest of the characters from the film on all the walls. Also a Chandelier and colorful lanterns hang from the wooden ceiling giving it even more atmosphere.

I highly recommend getting the dining plan. On average our dinner for three adults would have been $120 per night with out the dining plan. We use the quick service for breakfast in the am & sit down meal for dinner. We have tried restaurants I never would have tried with out the plan & all of my meals are prepaid before I arrive at the parks. On the last day of our trip we decided to see if we could change reservations 5 hours before dinner & were able to get into another restaurant with no issue, with the help of guest services

The food here is just ok, not anything spectacular. My son & I had Chicken Parm, it was Meh. The sauce was not that great. My husband had the cannelloni he said it was delicious. They brought foccacia which spiced olive oil to the table, that was good. We also shared an order of fried zucchini, very small portion for a table of 3 adults, but the flavor was good. The desserts were good

My husband & son call this restaurant turkey town. The turkey is wonderful, the pork & roast beef are flavorful & it's all you care to eat. We always leave stuffed & usually leave without getting dessert even though it is included on the dining plan. Great place if you have younger kids ( i don't) because it is all food they will eat.

This is the second time we had dinner @ Coral reef & it was delicious. My son had the lobster & shrimp " mac & Cheese" which he loved. My husband had the salmon which was cooked perfectly & I had the strip steak. Again cooked perfectly. I also had a Cesar salad which was excellent & the plate was ice cold, my husband & son had the lobster bisque which they said was excellent. It is nice to watch the fish in the aquarium while you wait for your meal & every employee was friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant even if you are like me & not a fan of seafood

The restaurant is beautiful inside. That is the only nice thing I can say, the menu is extremely limited. Our waiter was terrible it took us almost 2 1/2 to eat dinner because he kept disappearing. People that came in after us had their food & were leaving before our entrees came out. I had the cobb salad, which was ok, but I have had better at other places, I also had the pork chop the first two bites were good & then the rest was raw inside ( not medium , raw ) & inedible. When I left 3/4 of my pork chop on the plate the waiter never asked if there was an issue just took the plate & disappeared again. My son had the filet, which he said was good & my husband had the lamb chops. We all agreed it was not worth two dining points. We all said we had a better meal at Coral Reef in Epcot

After many times of having reservations & then cancelling we finally went to Biergarten on this trip. The waitress was wonderful & the atmosphere was great. The food was just so so. Everything is set up as a family style buffet, so we tried a little bit of everything. I have had better meals at other Disney dining resturants
