Our stay in a royal princess room was a good one. I loved all the little details & the headboard of course. The room isn't huge by any means but it was enough for us. The quick service on site was always busy it seemed but we always managed to get our food & pay rather quickly. Try the red velvet cake, so good! It's a bit of a trek to the rooms but the walk is just so pretty & serene, you probably won't mind, been after a long day at the park.
Pros:
Quiet, spacious, themingCons:

Pop is where you stay when you need a bed for sleeping. That's not a bad thing. I love pop. It's comfy and clean. It's not a huge resort either so you don't have to do a ton of walking to get to your room. It's a good place at a good price. I always enjoy my stay.
Pros:
Clean, upbeat theming, size of roomCons:

Our first stay at jambo house & hopefully not our last! We stayed on the 5th floor, giving us a good view of some of the property. The lobby is gorgeous. The staff we came into contact with were very nice & worked hard to make our stay a good one. Our room was a nice size for just the 2 of us. The tub was a nice size but the bathroom was a bit tiny. I'd give up a few inches of counter space for a few more in the bathroom. I'd stay here again for sure, even if it's a bit longer to get to the parks.

Surprisingly, we ended up preferring the hotel dining to most park quick service because of the large selection of drink/desserts/snacks, you can eat in your room in bed in front of the TV in your jammies;), and you can store what you don't eat in your frig for a little later. Because you can use your mugs for soda/hot choc/or coffee, you can get a fruit smoothie (often did this) or a bottled juice, for example, to put in the frig for later or pack right into your suitcase. They had cupcakes, breads, choc. mickey rice crispies, packaged cookies, mickey's ice creams bars and sandwiches, small scoop ice cream for desserts, and many more. Because by the end of the night, we have had like 4 desserts during the day, we usually took a 6oz Goofy's packaged gummy worms/bears to pack in our suitcase for home!
The Disney app will incorrectly list a bunch of lunch/dinner choices. While those are all sometimes available, there's only 3 stations that will make a couple of items each. For us, they were the same every night from 9/1-9/8 (create your salad, burger/chick burger, pasta, pizza, and the turkey or chicken or london broil steak dinner with 2 sides (mac & cheese, corn, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rice, veggies), and slightly different for lunch (offering quesdillas, taco salad, nachos, and beef or turkey sandwiches instead of the turkey, chicken, steak dinners).
We ordered the nachos and a ham sandwich once for lunch and the panko chicken alfredo or marinera several times. The create your pasta (also meatball and sausage choices for meat) are the biggest portions, and to us, the tastiest. You get a side tossed salad that's not great.
The main downfall is that it takes a really long time to get your food from about 8-11pm because everyone is coming back from the parks, and many of the parks' quick service locations close by 8. Also, many people line up early for 9pm finishing shows such as Illuminations or Electrical Parade, say 8pm, so haven't eaten since like 7-730. The crowds that late in the evening at the cafeteria will shock you the first time. I thought it was going to be empty at 11pm! Instead you can wait 30 minutes to get to the front of a line to order then wait a little longer to check out. During late night, many of the speciality dinners end at 10pm... meaning create your own burger, hot dogs, and personal pizzas is all you get. While it was sort of tempting to get a burger since you can put fried onion straws, mushrooms, onions, cheeses... just about anything you wanted... we went the entire week without ordering a single burger. We were trying to order different things while being on the dining plan for the first time.
Pros:
variety of drink/dessert/snack optionsCons:

There really isn't a knock on this place. The food only takes longer because they actually make it to order instead of ramping up for lunch/dinner crowds and reheating. We sat inside to split a dining credit for the bacon wrapped meatloaf with port wine sauce and onion strings. This was the best tasting meal we had this trip 9/1-9/8. The only knock on the meal was that it was tiny. We had been splitting every meal this trip and this was the only meal where I finished it completely, and felt hungry. Even though it's counter service, and you fill your own drink, you leave feeling like you have to tip the server who brought your food and refilled your drink. I actually didn't have cash and had to find an atm while my wife continued to eat then waited through the line again to break a $20 at the ordering counter:). So be prepared for that or order it to go... like we did that night (they closed at 11) just because we realized that we were gonig to have several unused dinning credits. So we ordered a four cheese pizza (huge and tasty) and chicken alfredo with peas. Dessert choices were awesome and were ice cream, creme brulee, and cheesecake. This is sit down quality food for your quick service credits. The menu is diverse and I've never had a bad meal here in prior years either.
Pros:
sit down quality, large varietyCons:

This place unexpectedly turned into maybe our favorite overall quick service place at MK. While the theming doesn't live up to Be Our Guest... what place does? The Pinnochio woodshop decor is neat, and there are tables where you can eat while watching boats from It's a Small World, which is really cool. There's lots of seating... it was still busy on the 2 visits from 9/1-9/8 (off season) but we always found a table. The food doesn't compare to the quality of the braised pork dish at Be Our Guest or have some of the unique items from Columbia Harbor (seafood mac and cheese, lobster roll, broccoli peppercorn salad, etc.), but the sandwiches are just as good as the ones at Be Our Guest, the portion sizes are probably the largest in MK (2 of us easily shared ea. meal), the theming is great, and you don't have to wait 45 minutes to get your food (Be Our Guest lunch w/out FP on 9/4). We had the meatball sub and the flatbread italian which has a balsamic dressing. Both very filling and good. We used packets of parm. cheese and I also used ranch and olive oil balsamic dressing packets on the italian flatbread. You can get choc or mango gelato ice cream here, which is a big plus over the generic choc/carrot cakes everywhere else. They had rasberry or lemonade slushes w/ whipped cream (we had the lemonade one). We also came here a third time for one of the best value snack credit options: 4 breadsticks and marinera that you can douse in parm cheese. The caprese and BBQ chicken flatbread pizza looked large and very good too.
Pros:
large portions, lots of seatingCons:

We visited twice during my 9/1-9/8 stay for its different options such as the lobster/crab topped mac and cheese, broccoli peppercorn salad, tuna sandwiches, etc. We ordered the chicken pot pie with broccoli, chocolate cake, and lemonade slushy on one visit and lobster roll with housemade chips and seasonal cobbler (peach that week) and lemonade slushy on the other visit. We dined upstairs both times and found it to be a nice escape - it's seldomly crowded, and you get a nice view of fantasyland near small world/Pan and haunted mansion/frontierland. There were also outlets for charging phones I heard about upstairs so I knew to pack my charging beforehand for a charge while eating.
The pot pie was really good, it had panko crumbs on top - not very large/filling. Got good portion of broccoli. Slushi was good and topped with whipped cream. The peach cobbler wasn't very tasty and the only other choice for dessert is the same old packaged chocolate cake you get everywhere at MK. The lobster roll was large and tasted great, and the chips were much better than the mushy fries you get at most places at MK. We'll definitely make it back here in the future to try the fish/chicken nuggets, seafood mac and cheese, etc.
Pros:
Different dishes, seafoodCons:

We were able to do the FP+ on the Beourguest website 60 days prior and highly recommend doing the preorder. While they had our preorder at the gate where you pick up your rose, they oddly couldn't find our order once inside and we had reorder. It took maybe another 10 minutes for our Braised Pork with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was as good as everyone raved about. Big enough to split between 2 of us. It had little to no fat, nicely seasoned. The green beans were maybe slightly undercooked, but way better than french fry option. We had the choc. cream puff for dessert and it was very delicious. You fill your own drink (w/ refills) and you get real silverware/plates, which is a nice touch. The ballroom was full so we sat in the smaller dining hall and made sure to take lots of photos, along with several others who were doing the same.
The second visit here, we waited at 1025 am (opens at 1030) and the line was well out to the bridge in front of Snow White Mine Train. It took us about 45 minutes to get our food, maybe about 25 min to get inside. We sat in the dark, West Wing, which I preferred over the other, less private, more well-lit rooms. We again split the meal and ordered the roast beef sandwich, fries, and strawberry cream cheese cupcake. The cupcake, as many have said, is really spectacular. All of the desserts are on the small side, however. But the sandwich is filling and it was better than expected. The horseradish sauce was barely noticeable (I tend to like a lot of sauce, my wife liked it as is). The fries are the same you get elsewhere - maybe not as mushy but still not something you really want. If getting a sandwich again, I will get the green beans as a side instead of the fries. We also ordered a french onion soup as a snack credit, even though the website and several other sites will state that it's not elligible. We had to make it a whole another order though, as the system was confused and wanted to call it a second dining meal credit instead of snack credit when paired with the sandwich entree. So be sure do snack credits separately. Based on other reviews, I was afraid to order the soup but it was very good. It had a layer of cheese on top.
We nearly came back on a third day at MK:) to try either the ham or turkey sandwich, but while a mgr suggested that we always try checking at the gate around 2pm as FP+ doesn't go that far and there's usually room for some people, they were full for lunch prior to 130pm and turned away the line.
I think the braised pork is probably our preferred meal at MK, and we'd go in the future with a FP. Having been there a few times, I'm not sure I'd wait in the line over going to Pinnochios or Columbia Harbor. It's a must try though, at least once... because the theming is great and the food is pretty decent.

Pecos has a lot of seating, but it's still busy because so many people stop here. I come here every year, and normally order their burgers or pulled pork sandwiches. This time, we split a steak/chicken dinner, and same ol' chocolate cake. The steak and chicken was available during dinner only, and had a small strip of steak, not bad, and a split breast piece of chicken, which was better than the thigh you get at most places such as Fairfax. You got a lime salsa for the chicken and we got sauteed mushrooms, sauteed onions, tomatoes from the toppings bar for the steak. It wasn't as big of a meal as you'd expect, but enough to share. The CM was especially friendly and took time to talk to us (we came during early dinner hours and it wasn't that busy). We sat in the dark dining room, which I liked. Thought the food was decent, not exceptional. This place is very similar to Cosmic Rays in that it's large, has a toppings bar, and some overlap in menu. We prefer Pinnochio's, Be Our Guest lunch, and Columbia Harbor for more off the beaten path foods (i.e. italian flatbread, braised pork, chicken pot pie). But we will probably continue coming here when craving a burger with onion rings.
Other than the toppings bar and lots of seating, it's one of the few restroom locations in the immediate area by Splash/Thunder. It is also where the Electric Parade starts, so you can actually park a spot with your food at around 8-830 on the curve and be less crammed than on Main St. The drawback is that you have to be ok with either missing or being further back on Main St. for Celebrate the Magic (945pm during our 9/1-9/8 stay) or 10pm Wishes. Which we preferred anyway, so that we could beat most of the crowd to the buses and have many of the lighted Main St. bldgs in our photos of the castle.

Had an ADR for Wednesday, September 10 at 4:10. Also had a reservation to come back for dessert same day at 9:10, so instead of ordering sundaes to go with our meals, instead, we "combined" dessert and beverage and each got a milkshake. They were delicious as were our burgers and fries. We were able to substitute bacon for the ham on two burgers. DH had a salmon sandwich which he said was good and youngest daughter had grilled cheese and tomato bisque which she enjoyed. Overall, no complaints! We were not rushed, were able to enjoy our dinner and had fun watching some tables struggle to finish the kitchen sink!
