We ate here for the first time on our recent trip while staying at Wilderness Lodge. I liked the fun, family atmosphere especially for the kids. Our waitress was very funny and personable. We all ordered the skillet and it was very tasty, but it took a while to get more helpings and they initially forgot to bring out the side of mac and cheese my daughter ordered. I would definitely go back if we were staying at Wilderness Lodge again, but I don't know that I would make a special trip for it.
Pros:
fun, family friendly atmosphere good foodCons:

I really like this resort. Although the theming isn't as obvious as some of the other resorts I love the clean lines and bright colors. There is a walkway to the Contemporary where there are plenty of food and shopping options and access to the monorail. I found the quick service there to have some nice choices. The pool isn't fancy, but we really enjoyed it. The views and easy walk to Magic Kingdom can't be beat!
Pros:
great location and transportation options, easy walk to Magic KingdomCons:

My daughter and I did the cake decorating class at Amorette’s. This 2 hour class included a brief history of Amorette's, free mimosas (we had 2 each), samples of Amorette's cakes and pastries and the opportunity to decorate one of Amorette's signature character cakes, the Mickey Mouse dome cake. It was one of the best experiences I've had at Walt Disney World and certainly well worth the cost (currently $158 for two people). As well as the finished cake (safely packaged in a sturdy cake box), we were presented with a gift bag containing macarons and cookies. I can highly recommend this for any budding cake decorators - or just those who like eating cake!
Pros:
Unique experience, good value, delicious cakeCons:

Our family of 5 recently stayed at Port Orleans Riverside for 3 nights as part of a split stay (with the Grand Floridian for 2 nights). It is usually our "go-to" resort as a moderately priced hotel that accommodates 5. We have stayed here so many times I have lost count. This stay we spent most of our time in the parks and less time at the resort. Our room was on the first floor in building 24 and was a standard view room of some greenery and the parking lot just beyond. It wasn't the greatest view, but we were rarely in the room and weren't staring out the window anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. The building isn't particularly convenient to the food court or main pool, although, the walk to the bus stop wasn't bad, and there was a quiet pool close by. I had requested one of the newly refurbished rooms and didn't get it, so the look of the room was the familiar style we have enjoyed in the past but nothing special. We had everything we needed, though, and the room was comfortable, if not particularly spacious. Our (5'5") 17 year old daughter slept on the pull down bed and had no complaints.
A new issue we were faced with that we hadn't experienced before was the pet-friendly status Riverside now has. We only saw a couple of dogs during our stay, and they were on leashes and appeared to be well-behaved. However, one afternoon when we returned to our room for a quick break and nap, we could clearly hear a dog whining nearby. After a little investigative work, I figured out that the dog was directly above our room. As I was quietly walking around outside trying to determine where it was, it heard me and began barking loudly as I passed the door. Our family has 2 dogs of our own, and we consider ourselves dog lovers, so this isn't an anti-dog post, but... It's pretty unpleasant to hear an obviously upset animal nearby when trying to get a little relaxation in. I called the front desk just to let them know about the issue, so they could look into it or at least have feedback for future considerations on the policy. I was told that animals are not supposed to ever be left alone in the rooms, and the owner would be contacted. I wasn't looking to get anyone in trouble, but lI'm glad they were willing to follow up on the situation for the good of the dog and other nearby guests. This situation alone will make me less likely to choose Riverside in the future, which is a shame, since it is an old favorite and one of the most affordable options for our family.

This is my absolute favorite resort! I love the beautiful theming and general atmosphere. The main pool area is fun with a great slide and bar. I much prefer this pool to Storm Along Bay. I love all the Boardwalk activity especially at night, and there are lots of good places to eat. The location can't be beat. Easy walk to Epcot and walk or boat ride to Hollywood Studios.

Our family of 5 recently stayed at the Grand Floridian for 2 nights following 3 nights at Port Orleans Riverside. It had been many years since we had stayed at the Grand Floridian, but it definitely lived up to the positive memories we had from our previous stay. Our room was on the 2nd floor in building 9, Big Pine Key, which was convenient to the main building and both pools. Our room had a lovely view of the wedding pavilion and the Polynesian Resort just across the lake. The room was lovely, clean, and well appointed. We had everything we needed. It was very comfortable for our family of 5 with no complaints from our 17 year old who slept on the pull out couch. We opted for turndown service which our kids loved for the Ghirardelli chocolate left on their pillows each night.
We spent most of our time in the parks and didn't really have time to take advantage of a lot that the resort has to offer (maybe next time!). We did have an evening at the pools which were uncrowded and peaceful. The large hot tub was a nice bonus. We watched the fireworks from Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party from the marina area one night, which was really nice, as they have the soundtrack piped in. We took advantage of the quick service location, Gasparilla Island Grill, one evening for a late dinner. The food was as good or better than most of the resort quick service locations we have eaten at. All of the cast members we interacted with were friendly and helpful throughout the resort. Having the choice of monorail, bus, or boat to the various parks was very convenient. Our whole family really enjoyed our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. We would like to return, however, even with a discount, the room rates here make it a rare treat for us. Nonetheless, we had a very nice time and would definitely recommend it.

We recently stayed at the Copper Creek Villas at Wilderness Lodge, and we loved Geyser Point. We mostly used the DVC pool and enjoyed the proximity to Geyser Point for getting drinks from the bar and filling our refillable mugs. We had dinner there one night and spent another afternoon having drinks and apps while the pool was closed due to weather. There is a quick service which was handy, but we didn't end up using it. The food was quite good, the atmosphere fun and relaxed, and the view was lovely.
Pros:

One of the few places I didn't use mobile ordering for quick service, but food was still ready quickly. Not really all that different from my local "Chinese" food, but good. Portion sizes are generous.
Seating is covered, but open air, so it can get hot on warmer days.

I am a huge Muppets fan, but honestly this place was more entertaining as Pizza Planet. Food is similar, but pasta salads sub for the ceasar salads. I've heard rumors of closing or rethemeing, which wouldn't surprise me. It closes at 4 most days though, which is a bummer if you want to eat dinner there. Lots of seating upstairs, never too crowded.
