Review of Food Trucks Exposition Park

We dine at the food trucks in Disney Springs and really enjoyed it. Our party wanted different things and different trucks. We placed our order all together at the start (at a cash stand) and then were given our receipts for pickup of our desired items. We split up and picked up the food and then sat down by the water to eat. Everything was flavorful. Portion size wasn't too big. We shared so no one really got full.

Pros:

Food was very flavorful!

Cons:

Portion size really is meant as a "snack" and not a meal. It won't really be enough to get one item and share unless you just want a tasting bite.

Review of Typhoon Lagoon

We just recently got the FL resident after 2 passes after not having them for several years. Typhoon Lagoon was our first visit and our activation point. We did have a lot of trouble with activation and I had my receipt printout, my DL, and my card purchase was made on. When we tried to go in gate they told me we didn't have privileges so off to guest service. Then back to ticket booth before it was finally figured out. We lost 30 minutes of our visit trying to straighten that out. Once we were in the park it was great. I had 2 teens with me. They always love the Wave pool. It was our first time on the new family ride and we really enjoyed it. Riding the raft up the conveyor belt was a new experience for sure (and it beat climbing stairs). I thought I remember Crush'n'Gusher having 3 person rafts as an option but there were only 2 person ones and if you were riding alone there was only one slide you could get in line for. But doubles were also in that same line so my girls were done WAY before me because they picked the shortest line and I was stuck in the longest one. We rode everything in the short time we were there and nothing had too long of a wait.

Pros:

Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster is always fun as is the wave pool. Love the theming in Disney.

Cons:

Ticketing and Guest Services turned what should have taken 5 minutes into 30 by their own errors.

Awesome quick service-this place has yummy choices that are relatively healthy. The skewers are awesome - meat and veggie. Share a few choices for a filling and reasonably priced lunch!

Pros:

Delicious, unique, low-carb choices, fresh

Cons:

Not a lot of seating.

Our new go-to place! This hotel is clean, comfortable, has a good breakfast included, costs one third as much as on-property hotels and is actually a shorter walk too.

Pros:

Location, nice rooms, price

Cons:

Not “in the Disney bubble”

Review of Tutto Italia Restaurant - Italy

We love this place. We eat here every time we are in Disney. The food is excellent and so is the service. My husband and two daughters all order the lasagna every time and they love it. This time was no different. I ordered the filet of sole and I also enjoyed it. For dessert, we ate the chocolate hazelnut cake and gelato. All very good and they give you bread and olives to start.

Pros:

We love the food and the service is great and so is the atmosphere. All around great experience.

Cons:

Nothing.

Review of Sci-Fi Dine-in Theatre Lunch/Dinner

Normally, I love this restaurant. This past time, I did not. The food was just meh. No one liked their dish. We didn't send anything back but it was just ok at best. My husband had a hamburger. My daughter ordered off the child's menu because she wasn't that hungry. It was some kind of pasta dish. I ordered an appetizer as my meal. it was the boneless wings which were only ok. My eldest daughter ordered a burger too. The shakes are great though.

Pros:

The actual seating is amazing. It feel like you are in a drive-in and it really is special to be there. It is also so quiet. This is a great place to get out of the hustle and bustle of Disney and the air conditioning always works well here. Great on hot days.

Cons:

The food isn't great. The shakes are good though but otherwise, the food is only ok.

Review of Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House (Deluxe Resort)

AKL Jambonis probably our favorite Disney resort, we just love it there! The lobby is spectacular, the hotel itself is almost like a mini museum with African artifacts scattered about and descriptions on the wall of what they are and are used for. There are several animal viewing areas scattered around the resort, which is great, especially if you don’t have a savanna view room.

The pool is lovely and the restaurants are among the best on Disney property. The gift shop is one of our favorites, too. There is no experience around, that I’m aware of, that is like sitting out on your savanna view balcony with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and watching the animals wander about the savanna just feet away. It’s really breathtaking! The only bad thing is that often times we get so wrapped up in this, we don’t want to leave to go to the parks.

Pros:

Restaurants, lobby, gift shop, pools, animals and animal viewing areas - pretty much everything.

Cons:

The only form of transportation to the parks is via bus, unless you are driving your own car.
