2014 Inaugural Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon
Posted onThe Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend was held at Disneyland November 14-16. This is a new runDisney event, which of course means it has the “I” word, Inaugural, associated with it. 🙂 All events sold out very quickly, but Lee and I were able to register for the half marathon. Hunchback of Notre Dame Musical
Posted onThe Hunchback of Notre Dame opens at the La Jolla Playhouse on November 9, though it is currently in preview. It features music by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, book by Peter Parnell, and is directed by Scott Schwartz (son of Stephen Schwartz). Lee and I saw the fourth preview performance on October 30.
It's very much like the Disney movie, though it is much darker, as it pulls in a few more elements from the original novel by Victor Hugo. More adult themes, and not recommended for children under the age of 12.
Disneyland’s Halloween Time 2014

Posted onThe end of another cruise…must mean it’s time for a food blog! We started with the buffet in Parrot Cay after we boarded. There were the usual types of selections. The peel-and-eat shrimp is always one of my favorites, and there were some nice salads, too. That first evening we were in Parrot Cay for … Continue reading "Disney Wonder Pacific Coast Cruise – Part 4, The Food"
