Two Construction Projects COMPLETE at Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Disney World must have decided that 2026 would be the year of construction projects at the resort because so much is under construction right now. Three of the theme parks are getting new lands and expansions, while we’re seeing changes even happening at Disney Springs and at Disney World hotels.

Pop Century

Speaking of Disney World hotels, we recently visited Disney’s Pop Century Resort, which is also going through some construction projects, and we’ve got a big update for you.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort just recently got a brand new coat of paint on its main signage, the big “Pop” sign you see as you enter the resort. Here’s what it looked like when they first started the paint job:

Sign construction

That painting is now complete, and the sign is popping with a much brighter orange.

It looks like new!

The kiddie pool deck at the hotel closed in April. The work was just routine maintenance, and now, the area has reopened, including the splash pad. We even saw some kids taking advantage of the splash pad.

The splash pad is open!

In the meantime, the only other scheduled construction at Pop Century will be the closure of the Skyliner from January 24th through January 30th, 2027, for its annual routine maintenance. The hotel recently got a completely revamped food court, as well as a new lobby, though, so it might look a lot different the next time you stay there.

We’ll keep an eye out for more construction updates in Disney World, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
