Over 500 Disney Adults Are BEGGING You To Stop Doing This In Disney World

Hi, fellow Disney adult here! If you’ve been to Disney World often, if you know the parks like it’s your home, if you know where the best hidden Mickeys are… well, you’re in good company!

Magic Kingdom

Many of our readers are fellow Disney Adults, so we recently went to Facebook to ask, “Disney adults, what’s one thing we all need to STOP doing?” and they did not hold back.

Coming to an Abrupt Halt

As you are walking around the parks, if you need to stop, move over to the side! If you stop right in the middle of the path, everyone around you is now impacted. Kimmi Elinich said, “Stopping right in the middle of the walkway.” Not only is it very annoying, but someone could get hurt!

Blocking the View

Seeing the parade and fireworks at Disney World is essential for many guests, but there’s one thing that can ruin that moment. Jennifer Wiseman said, “Putting kids on our shoulders when the parades and fireworks are on.” Everyone wants to see, so we recommend holding the kids on your hip so their heads are level with the other adults’.

Reciting the Preshows

Disney adults, let me hold you hard while I gently say this… no one wants to hear you recite the preshow to Haunted Mansion, Cosmic Rewind, or any other ride. I know, you’re excited because you know this ride like the back of your hand, and you’ve ridden it 50 times already. However, others should be given a chance to experience it. Taryn Nippard wrote, “Loudly reciting the pre-shows or spoiling all the magic for first-time guests. Not everyone NEEDS to know the behind-the-scenes on everything.”

Complaining

You might think that complaining isn’t hurting others, but honestly, it can bring the mood down. Nancy Wall shared “Complaining. The reality is that being at Disney is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many people. Those who are blessed to be able to go often sometimes seem to forget what a blessing that is.” This really puts it into perspective because, as regulars, we can forget how special it is to spend any day at Disney World. Let’s all appreciate the trip a little more next time.

Over-Critizing Everything New

This one seems like a good reminder right now in the midst of lots of new projects happening at Disney World. John Dawkins wrote, “I would like us to stop micro-critiquing every new thing Disney puts out and remember that their primary focus is on the next generation of kids, not to cater to the idealized nostalgia of adult fans.” Of course, as Disney adults, we love nostalgia, and we all have favorites, but we need to understand that Disney World is evolving for future generations as well, and we can all enjoy the new things to come!

Being Overconfident in Our Backs

This one made us laugh! Jason Scott hilariously wrote, “Stop believing our back can handle Space Mountain.” So many Disney adults agreed with this!
