Attention Orlando Travelers: If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World and wondering just how you’re going to get from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to the “Most Magical Place on Earth”, we’ve got your answer!

There was a time when travel between MCO and Disney World was built around the Magical Express. This service, included in Disney World vacation packages, ferried guests back and forth from MCO while transporting their bags directly from their flight to their hotel room and vice versa. The popular service was discontinued in 2020, creating a vacuum for many guests who had resorted to methods including Mears shuttle service, rideshares like Uber, and our focus today: Lynx Buses.
Originally launched in the spring of 2024, the Link311 route serves Disney World from MCO via Disney Springs! The bus comes every 30 minutes each day from 5 AM to 11 PM, making it an option for the vast majority of Disney World travelers coming through the airport each day. The best part? It only costs $2 each way!

While all that sounds great on paper, and the cost certainly can’t be beat, you should know that there are some drawbacks to using the Lynx route.
- First off, there’s the time factor. To use the Lynx to travel between MCO and Disney World, you’ll be disembarking and boarding the bus at Disney Springs, meaning that you’ll need to travel to or from your Disney World hotel to Disney Springs in order to use it. That’s going to add a ton of time to your journey, especially if you’re not staying near Disney Springs.
- Remember, you can’t take your luggage on Walt Disney World buses, so you’ll need to Uber or rideshare to your Disney World hotel after taking the Lynx Bus, and will need to rideshare to Disney Springs with your luggage to grab the Lynx Bus back to the airport.

If you’re still considering using the Lynx service, there are some things you may want to know about their buses:
- Free WiFi is available, but there are NO charging outlets.
- They are air-conditioned.
No credit cards are allowed — you must have cash or use the Lynx Paw Pass app for your tickets. - No eating or drinking is allowed.

Next time you’re flying through MCO to begin your Disney adventure, be sure to keep the Mears bus service option in mind. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney World travel tips.
