NEW Entertainment Added to the Orlando Airport

If you’re flying to Disney World or Universal Orlando this holiday season, you’ll probably be flying through Orlando International Airport.

Well, if you are flying through that airport, you might find that things are a little more entertaining this time of the year. That’s because the airport is bringing live music to your travel day there.

You’ll now see live performances and other entertainment at Orlando International Airport throughout the month of December. The airport is also all decked out with holiday decorations to keep the most stressful travel season of the year light and bright.

Here’s the current schedule for live performances at the airport:

    • December 20th: Magic of Bronze, Community Handbell Ensemble, 1 PM–3 PM at Gates 70–129 Checkpoint
    • December 21st: Caricature Artists, 11 AM–2 PM at Gates 70–129 Checkpoint
    • December 22nd: Hotwired, Jazz Trio. 11 AM–2 PM at Terminal B Food Court
    • December 23rd, New World Music, Flute & Drum Duo, 11 AM–2 PM at Gates 1–59 Checkpoint
    • December 23rd: The Dickens Carolers, Costumed Quartet, 12 PM-3 PM Roving Terminals A & B
    • December 24th: Marc E, Smooth Jazz/Spanish Guitarist, 11 AM–2 PM at Gates 1–59 Checkpoint
    • December 26th: Mike Petrovich, Spanish Guitarist, 11 AM–2 PM at Gates 1–59 Checkpoint
    • December 27th: Johnny Magnuson, Saxophonist, 4 PM–7 PM at Terminal C Level 2
    • December 28th, Rob Hazen, Guitarist, 11 AM–2 PM at Gates 1–59 Checkpoint
    • December 29th: Hotwired, Jazz Trio, 11 AM–2 PM at Terminal B Food Court
    • December 30th: Rita Kay Duo, Acoustic Guitarist & Vocalist, 11 AM-2 PM at Gates 1–59 Checkpoint
    • December 31st: Richie Hughes, Steel Drums, 11 AM–2 PM at Gates 1–59 Checkpoint

“Holiday travel can be busier than usual, but it is our hope that a daily showcase of local talented performers can uplift spirits and enhance the overall travel experience for our millions of travelers,” said Lance Lyttle, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.

So if you find yourself at the airport and need some entertainment, be sure to look for these live performances. And if you’d like some peace and quiet during the busy travel season, you can also use this schedule to avoid these spaces (and that would be totally understandable).
