4 HUGE Ride Announcements Disney Just Dropped

I don’t know about you, but I go to Disney for the rides! I love the thrill of climbing onboard my ride vehicle, pulling that yellow strap, and being transported to what makes Disney so special.

As if it were a special treat just for me, Disney released a bunch of new ride announcements, and we need to go over the details because if you weren’t excited for your next trip to the parks, you’re going to get thrilled.

Tangled is being added to Storybook Land Canal Boats

To celebrate Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, a miniature version of Rapunzel’s tower is being added to the attraction. It will be between the Patchwork Quilt and Toad Hall when the ride reopens this winter. There will also be posters of Flynn Rider, and during the day, you’ll hear “When Will My Life Begin,” and at night, “I See the Light” when you float by.

Frozen Ever After is getting a makeover

Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff are getting new animatronic faces in the ride in EPCOT! Right now, they’re projection faces, but they’re changing to faces that look more “true to film.” This change will happen in early 2026 and will be similar to the ones in Hong Kong Disneyland. As soon as I saw pictures of these amazing characters, I knew EPCOT needed an upgrade, and I’m so glad we’re getting them.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets opening timeline

Opening during summer 2026, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets will feature Scooter as an animatronic, but Disney told us that he’s not the only one we’ll see in animatronic form. We knew it was coming in 2026 in Hollywood Studios, but summer feels so soon. We don’t know when the ride will close for the transformation, but we’ll be ready to ride when it reopens.

Behind the scenes look at Zootopia: Better Zoogether

Disney dropped a new look at Benjamin Clawhauser, which will be an animatronic at the ride coming to Animal Kingdom. Throughout the show, he wants to be chosen as the Very Important Zootopian, or V.I.Z., which grants him special access to the Zootpia Day performers. Don’t forget about the Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde meet and greet opening near the Tree of Life, too.
