CONFIRMED: Radiator Springs Racers Is CLOSING This Month

One of the Disneyland Resort’s most popular attractions is set to close next week… and we don’t know when it’s reopening!

Beginning on August 18th, Radiator Springs Racers — the premier E-Ticket attraction in California Adventure’s Cars Land and one of my favorite attractions I’ve ridden during 30+ years visiting Disney Parks — is set to close for refurbishment.

According to most reports, the refurbishment shouldn’t last too long, and will be focused on infrastructure enhancements, including resurfacing the track, upgrading the lighting, and updating some audio and visual effects.

Currently, there’s no reopening date confirmed for the attraction and the Disneyland calendar shows it closed through mid-September – the furthest ahead the calendar lists as of press time.

That said, we don’t expect the closure to last too long into the fall, as it was initially reported by theme park journalist Scott Gustin that the ride would be down for about a month.
