A Popular Disney Hotel Pool Is Closing This Month

Another closure is headed to Disney World!

Rides are being refurbished, lands are closing permanently, and now, a popular Disney resort is also being added to the construction list. Let’s dive in (or not) to all of the details!

Disney’s Coronado Springs resort is getting in on the refurbishment fun! This Animal Kingdom-area resort hotel is a blend of Spanish, Mexican, and Southwest American cultures, and we truly love this resort.

If you’re staying at this resort in August, your relaxing vacation might look a little bit different. From August 17th, 2025, through August 24th, 2025, the Cabanas leisure pool at this hotel will be closed! Disney has shared that the closure is for routine maintenance, but they also warned that guests may hear noise as work is being completed.

While we never love it when something is closed, we were glad it’s just the leisure pool! During the refurbishment, you can still swing by the popular Lost City of Cibola pool and the Casitas and Ranchos leisure pools.

Luckily, this closure isn’t a long one, and we will happily spend our free time at the popular resort pool with the fun water slide and delicious bar. This resort has so much to offer, like amazing dining, fun activities like Sangria University, and a great atmosphere to relax in.
