I have traveled through quite a few airports over the last few years. Each airport is different and has its pros and cons. However, there is one airport I can’t stop thinking about, and I need to talk about it!

I have gotten to travel to loads of cool places over the years, including Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Aulani, and more. As a result, I have traveled through my fair share of airports, and I am sharing my favorite one with you.
Before we get to my favorite, here’s a recap of some of the airports I have traveled through:
- John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
- Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)
- Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP)
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Orlando International Airport (MCO)
- Miami International Airport (MIA)
- Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)
- Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
- John Wayne Airport (SNA)
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
- Huntsville International Airport (HSV)
- Haneda Airport (HND)
- Hong Kong International Airport (HKG).
My favorite airport out of the 15+ airports I have traveled through is…drumroll, please…the Hong Kong International Airport. Now, let’s dive into why it is my favorite airport!

First of all, it is HUGE, and it has a ton of flight options. But even though it is huge and very well-traveled, I was so impressed by how clean it was.

Not only was it incredibly clean, but it also looked beautiful architecturally. The airport is new and high-tech, and I was amazed at how great it looked. There was also a big focus on comfort, which made my whole experience even more enjoyable. There were enough seats at most gates for everyone to have a seat.

And can we talk about the water zones? These were located throughout the airport, and they weren’t just water refills. You can go to these areas and get water from them. Plus, there were so many chargers. They were everywhere. You definitely don’t have to worry about running out of charge while you are here.

Hong Kong International Airport is also two-stories, which was a huge reason the gates and walkways didn’t seem as crowded. It was easy to grab a bite to eat or shop through the numerous luxury shops without feeling like you were in the way.

The security was also super smooth and fast, even though it is an international airport. The first time I flew through here, I had to do a bunch of paperwork, but Hong Kong has since gone paperless when it comes to travel documents, so that isn’t a thing anymore.

The Hong Kong International Airport is also your gateway to Hong Kong Disneyland, which is currently celebrating its 20th Anniversary through May 2026. I got a chance to explore everything the resort is doing to celebrate, and let me just say, Hong Kong Disneyland knows how to throw an anniversary celebration!
