The Highest-Grossing Animated Film of All Time Is Being Released in the United States

The highest-grossing animated film EVER is about to be released in a dubbed English version, and we just got a sneak peek at the trailer. The dubbed English version was announced back in April and is expected to be released on August 22nd, 2025.

Ne Zha 2 has grossed over $2 billion since its release, which makes it the highest-grossing animated film ever. If you have been wanting to see this animated movie in English, the time is almost here!

According to Los Angeles Magazine, the English dub for Ne Zha 2 will be released on August 22nd in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The Chinese animated film has been a huge success, and now A24 and CMC Pictures are bringing the film to an even wider audience.

The voice cast for the English dub features Michelle Yeoh from Everything Everywhere All at Once, Crystal Lee, Vincent Rodriguez III, and Aleks Le. According to IMDb, Ne Zha 2 takes place after a great catastrophe where the souls of Nezha and Aobing are saved, but their bodies face ruin. In order to give them new life, Taiyi Zhenren turns to the mystical seven-colored lotus to rebuild them and change their fate.

Ne Zha 2 is the first-ever animated film to break $2 billion, and it is also the first time a Chinese film has cracked the top 10. The film is currently in Mandarin and was released in China back in January. A24 and CMC Pictures are working together to produce the English dub.
