FOUR Big Announcements Just Made for ‘Disney Lorcana’

The Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game is coming up on its TWO-year anniversary! This popular trading card game debuted in August 2023, and Ravensburger and Disney have some big plans for its two-year anniversary.

Ravensburger has released 8 sets and more than 1,800 unique cards in the last two years, but that is just the beginning. There is about to be not one, not two, but THREE new sets coming for Disney Lorcana. Ravensburger debuted Disney Lorcana at Gen Con back in 2023, and they are back at Gen Con this year for some exciting announcements.

Ravensburger took to the streaming stage with some HUGE announcements. The next set being released is called Fabled. Fabled‘s tagline is “Welcome to the Story,” and it will be released on September 5th, with a pre-release on August 29th. We got a peek at some of the new cards, including Powerline – World’s Greatest Rock Star.

Lorcana also announced a new limited-time experience coming to Disney California Adventure on August 29th called Disney Lorcana Collection Quest! We can’t wait to learn more.

The new Fabled set will also introduce two new card rarities. Iconic cards will be even rarer than Enchanted cards. The Fabled set will feature two iconic cards: Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Prince and Minnie Mouse – Sweetheart Princess. Additionally, there will also be epic rarities, which will be rarer than legendary cards but more common than enchanted cards. So, the new levels of card rarity, going from least to most rare, will be common, uncommon, rare, super rare, legendary, epic, enchanted, and iconic.

Dumbo will be introduced to Lorcana in the Fabled set, and you will also find Timothy Q Mouse – Flight Instructor.

But that is not all, there will also be Goofy Movie cards coming to Fabled. In addition to the Powerline card, there will also be movie-based action song cards like “Stand Out” and “I2I.” The new Fabled set will feature 204 cards, with 33 of them being mechanically new cards with higher rarities and stronger abilities.

Fabled isn’t the only new set coming, though! Whispers in the Well is the next set to be released. You can grab it on November 14th, with a pre-release on November 7th. The new set invites Illumineers to “light your path and solve the mystery of the ethereal whispers uncovered in Lorcana.”

After that, you can enjoy “flurries of fun” in the next set, Winterspell, coming Q1 in 2026. This new set will feature Angel from Lilo & Stitch for the first time in Disney Lorcana. 

But that is not all! Ravensburger also made another BIG announcement. Disney Lorcana puzzles are coming soon! There will be SIX new puzzles featuring artwork from cards in Disney Lorcana. Each puzzle will be 1,000 pieces, and each one is themed to a color of magical ink that powers the realm of Lorcana. These puzzles will be on sale beginning September 1st for $29.99 each, along with a Mickey Mouse – True Friend promo card.

There is a lot to look forward to in the world of Disney Lorcana! Puzzles are coming September 1st, and a brand-new set, Fabled, is being released on September 5th. Followed by Whispers in the Well on November 7th and Winterspell coming in early 2026.
