Magic Kingdom is going through some big changes!

The iconic theme park just recently closed several park staples to make room for the new Cars Land. The park is also working on bringing Villains Land to life and adding a brand-new nighttime parade to light up the night. With all of these changes coming, Disney has now issued a park pass warning that you need to know about!
Disney’s newest nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, is starting on July 20th, 2025! We’re expecting this nighttime parade to be hugely popular, and it seems Disney is too.

Ahead of the parade’s debut, Disney has issued a warning to guests that pass reservations will be changing. If you’re an Annual Passholder, for a limited time starting on July 20th, you will need a park reservation to enter the park at any time of the day.

Currently, Passholders can enter Magic Kingdom anytime after 2:00 without a park reservation except on Saturdays and Sundays. Disney is adding this change when the parade begins because they are expecting an influx of guests to be in the park for the show!

Disney did confirm that Passholders will still be able to enter the other three theme parks after 2 PM without a park reservation. Currently, only Annual Passholders or guests with certain non-date-based tickets require reservations when trying to enter the parks before 2 PM. You can still park hop if you have a reservation at another park before heading over to Magic Kingdom, so no worries there!

The new parade kicks off with the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio as she lights up the night. You can also see characters like the Disney Princesses, Peter Pan, Mirabel, Miguel, and more.

We have also gotten a close-up look at the new parade floats and the new character named Whimsy, who will be the train where you’ll see Goofy, Donald, Mickey, Minnie, and more!

The new show is highly anticipated by Disney fans who still sorely miss the Main Street Electrical Parade, along with many of the other nighttime parades we’ve lost to time. We can’t wait to see it debut soon in the park! As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates.
