We’ll never say no to the opportunity to get to head back to one of our favorite places in Disney Springs, and today was that day!

Now, we’ve got a lot of favorite places in Disney Springs, but when someone asks us where the best breakfast or brunch spot is, we 100% say it’s Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. This spot impresses us every time, but now there are NEW brunch options available, and we’ve been blown away yet again.
Background
One of our favorite parts of this restaurant is how at-home we feel. Not only is there Southern comfort food to delight in, but the atmosphere is also very relaxed without losing the charm. It’s like you’re going over to your grandmother’s house for dinner — a t-shirt and shorts are fine, but you wouldn’t want to show up without your manners!

We also love that there’s plenty of seating both inside AND outside, so when it’s beautiful out (not too chilly, not too hot), you can enjoy the fresh air.

Homecomin’ just introduced new brunch offerings as part of their Rise & Shine Southern Brunch that we knew we had to try out immediately, and once you see them, we think you’ll feel the same!

So what are we waiting for? Let’s get to the meal!
Drinks
We decided to grab the Moonshine Flight for $36, which you can order off the regular lunch menu while you’re at brunch. Flavors here include Rum Shine, Margarita, Blue Hooch, Strawberry Lemonade, and Sweet Tea.

First up was the Rum Shine, which was berry with a hint of citrus. We loved it.

The Margarita truly did taste like a margarita to us, so it lives up to its name!

The Blue Hooch was beautiful and was more like a cocktail, so expect more of that lighter, fruit flavor.

The Strawberry Lemonade was so nice and smooth — dangerous, honestly! You can barely taste the alcohol, so watch out here!

The Sweet Tea tastes JUST like sweet tea, and we honestly wouldn’t have guessed there was any moonshine in it if we hadn’t read it on the menu ourselves.

As for these new brunch options though, prepare to be AMAZED!
Food
We first took a bite of the Blueberry Buckle, which you can get for $18. This one was good, and given the options for an early starter, it was a good option. It tasted like a blueberry crumble cake with some icing, the crumble was crunchy with a great cinnamon flavor, and it was overall very easy to slice through.

The icing is very rich, but it was a little meh for us. It wasn’t as exciting as some of our other offerings, but if you love having dessert before your main meal, or you’re more of a sweet breakfast person (bonus points if you’re a fan of blueberries), then this will be a great option for you.

Then we moved on to the other sweet option, the Apple Butter Bread Pudding for $14. This was a great dessert item, but it was a little thick to cut into, so keep that in mind.

It does have a great apple butter taste to it, especially with that cinnamon aftertaste, but we admit that we would have liked a little bit more. It was like a giant cinnamon roll that tasted like apple butter, so if you’re a fan of that, you’ll really enjoy this.

For our savory option, we got the Homecomin’ Hash for $24, including a side of their Southern Style Cheesy Potatoes. This might be the best plate we’ve EVER eaten here. We’d get it 10 times over again, and the cheesy potatoes were incredible by themselves.

The rest of the hash was incredible too — tons of spices and tomato juice and the potatoes were well seasoned, and the cheddar cheese biscuit was mouthwateringly delicious. It was well thought out and all went together so well. It made us feel fancy without having to be fancy!

Overall, this spot still lands on top for us when it comes to brunch, but our reporter found she enjoyed the savory options more than the sweet!
Magic or Tragic?
Homecomin’ will 100% be a Magic if:
- You’re a big fan of brunch and it’s your favorite meal
- You’re traveling with a group who all have different tastes
- You can’t decide on eating breakfast or lunch

However, Homcomin’ may not be a good fit for you if:
- You’re looking for a lighter meal
- You don’t feel like fighting for a reservation weeks in advance and want something more simple
- You’d like to have your meals in the parks as much as possible.
