REMINDER: TONS of Refurbishments Start in Disneyland Resort Tomorrow!

Hello to all our West Coast friends! How’s the weather over there?

Some of our team will be over in California later this week to check out D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, which means they’ll be just a short way away from Disneyland Resort. If you’ll be in Disneyland soon, we need to remind you that there are TONS of refurbishments all starting tomorrow, so be prepared!

Starting over in the OG park, Disneyland, the Disneyland Railroad will close on August 5th for refurbishment, but no mention has been made as to when it’s expected to reopen. The Disneyland calendar currently goes through September 14th and its closure continues through that date.

Similarly, Space Mountain is also closing for refurbishment on August 5th, but at this time, it looks to be reopening on September 6th. This means the ride will be closed for just about a month. Disney didn’t share what work is being done on the ride, but keep in mind that it’s very possible we’ll see other ride wait times rise while this popular attraction in unavailable.

Over at Disney California Adventure, the Animation Academy will not have any times available starting August 5th. The next date that does show more times available is August 30th. Similar to the other closures, Disney hasn’t been clear on what will be happening during this time, but we’re just grateful it’s reopening!

Something similar is happening to Turtle Talk with Crush! This experience shows no times available from August 5th to August 15th, but starting August 16th, you’ll be able to experience it multiple times a day again.
