Disney drops new souvenirs in the parks all the time.
You’ll find lots of t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, bags, ears, and more in the stores around all the parks. Disney typically releases tons of each item so we all have a chance to get them. However, some souvenirs have become extremely rare. This may be because they were part of a limited release, they are from a long time ago and many items have long been thrown out leaving only very few of them left, or they were only available for a short time. We asked our readers if they have any RARE Disney souvenirs, and what we saw was impressive! We’re really jealous of these awesome Disney keepsakes.
There were a TON of amazing rare souvenirs that our readers shared! Unfortunately, we couldn’t share every single one or you would be scrolling for days, but here are the top ones that we thought were really cool and we wish we had! If you want to see all the souvenirs that people shared, check out our AllEars Facebook page.
Original Park Maps
Several readers shared a look at some old park maps from the Disney parks. Greg shared with us a picture of his 1956 Disneyland map, and we were thoroughly impressed at the great condition it is in!
Reader Amy shared a couple of original Disney World park maps including a Magic Kingdom map from 1972 and this EPCOT Center map from 1982!
We love seeing park maps being preserved for many generations to admire!
Keepsakes from the 1950s
Brad shared his 1950s Disneyland keepsakes! These porcelain dishes are in impeccable shape.
We love the style of the artwork on the top of the porcelain trinket box. What’s also neat is that he still has the original box they came in!
Walt Disney Record Albums from 1964
Michael really made us jealous with these 1964 albums from “it’s a small world” and Haunted Mansion!
The “it’s a small world” album even includes a full-color illustrated book, which is really neat to see for the ride that Mary Blair designed. These original records would be fun to listen to!
Signed Figment and Dreamfinder Statue
Robert gave us a look at his Figment and Dreamfinder statue. This was from the Classics Collection and was signed by the sculptor. He purchased it in EPCOT.
What makes this really neat is that Dreamfinder is no longer in EPCOT. He was part of the ride Journey Into Imagination from 1982 to 1998. Since then Figment has been the only star of the ride.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Ride Porthole
This pothole was shared by Carl and is really neat because the ride it belonged to is no longer in operation.
The movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea used to have rides in both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. They have both since been replaced. You used to board the Nautilus to journey through the sea, and this porthole came from one of those submarines!
Keychain from Disneyland’s 35th Anniversary
Disneyland opened in 1955, making it 69 years old this year. Michael shared with us a picture of a 35th-anniversary keychain he has!
That would mean this keychain is from 1990, so it’s really cool that he has been able to keep it for all these years! It was likely only available for that one year, so this is certainly RARE nowadays.
Thank you to all our readers who shared their RARE Disney souvenirs with us! It was really neat getting to walk down memory lane by seeing all the items you’ve collected over the years.
