If you consider yourself a drink connoisseur or you just really like to always have a beverage in hand, then you may be familiar with Disney World’s refillable mugs.

These colorful and convenient mugs have been around for a while and provide you with rapid beverage re-filling capabilities if you’re staying at one of Disney World’s hotels. You can purchase one and for the duration of your trip, you can refill it for free at any of the Disney World hotels. It’s a pretty sweet deal, especially if you enjoy having coffee in the morning, soda in the afternoon, and any other non-alcoholic beverage at night. However, these mugs can only be used at the hotels and not in the parks. But recently, a refillable mug surfaced in one of the parks, and yet, there’s a bit of a problem with it.
Over in Animal Kingdom at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe, a new stainless steel, reusable, Stanley-tumbler style, refillable mug caught our eye!

Here’s how these new mugs work:
- Pick up a refillable mug at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe (the quick-service version of the restaurant)
- Each mug is $31 for the initial purchase, but it’s refillable ALL DAY for free!
- Bring the receipt back (or take a picture of your receipt to show) on future park days and pay $2.12 for all-day refills.
It sounds like a great deal, right?! And it is! However, there is just one problem.

These mugs can ONLY be used at Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafe in Animal Kingdom and no where else in the park, or in the other three parks for that matter. This means that every time you want to refill your mug, you have to trek back to Yak & Yeti to get your drink.

This seems like a bit of an issue and hindrance, but we can’t complain too much seeing as this is the only in-park refillable mug in all of Disney World. You see, Yak & Yeti is owned by Landry’s not Disney, so that is why they can be the only place in the parks to offer this deal. We’re certainly excited to have even this one option!

So if you enjoy having the option of a refillable mug in a park, this may be a great option for you! Plus, it will make a great, practical souvenir when you take it home with you.
