Do you hear that? It’s the sound of sleighbells!

Before you look at us before we’ve lost our minds, we’re just going to say that it is never too early to start thinking about the holidays. Sure, we don’t yet have 2024 dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party just yet, but we’re still counting down the days until we can see all those gorgeous Christmas trees and decorations. However, another new Disney holiday event is coming this year — and you won’t even need to leave home to participate.
Disney previously announced the return of the runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas for 2024. This event is themed to the holidays and will happen on December 1st through 31st. So if you love to run and want to celebrate the holiday season at home, or wherever you’ll be, you can participate in this event and win medals!

So how does a virtual race work? You’ll have to register and pay the registration fee, which is $267 (this price includes a 6.6% platform service fee). Once you’ve registered, you can start running as early as December 1st — you’ll have a choice of three 4K virtual races. You’ll also get some freebies just for participating, including a long-sleeved hooded shirt, a holiday Corkcicle, a box of Twinings holiday blend tea, a digital bib, a finisher certificate, and a digital race tool kit with printable mile markers.

You’ll also earn a fun medal for completing the event. The ear hat-shaped medal also doubles as a Christmas ornament.

Your hosts for the event include Donald Duck and Daisy…

…Pluto…

…and Goofy. Gawrsh!

Ready to sign up? You’ll be able to register as of July 9th at 10AM ET. Note that the entry fee is non-refundable and races are non-transferable between individuals, event weekends, and events that have reached capacity or sold out. Participants will receive their commemorative medal in the mail once the event is completed.
All members of your family are welcome to join as long as they are five years old or older. You will need to track your own times and completion is based on the honor system. Once you’ve finished your run, you can visit the runDisney finisher website to submit your time and download your race certificate.
So why not get ready for the holidays a little early by signing up for a fun holiday run?
