Our favorite feathered pal is celebrating a BIG accomplishment this year and Disney has already started the festivities!
Donald Duck first hit the scene on June 9th, 1934 with the short The Wise Little Hen. Since then, Donald has remained such an important and beloved icon, staring in his own film, having his own attraction at Epcot, and even gaining a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! And with his 90th anniversary upon us, we know there’s much to celebrate.
90 years is no joke, and we’re excited to see the celebration take off with a brand-new collection that has dropped online on Disneystore.com.
The collection includes the cutest accessories, such as these adorable Donald Duck Dangle earrings by Bauble Bar!
These earrings show off some of Donald’s most iconic expressions, complete with sparkling blue glass stones that make it ‘egg-stra’ special.
The 90th Anniversary Loungefly Mini Backpack has us ‘quacking’ up.
And it’s not only because of Donald’s mischievous little expression, but the bag also changes colors when exposed to the UV rays of the sun!
How awesome is that?! The design is made to resemble Donald’s face when he gets a little too ‘heated up’, but cools down and goes back to his original color when you get home again. We love how funny and creative this concept is.
And of course, we can’t forget the collection’s featured 90th Anniversary Ear Headband.
These ears highlight everything we love about Donald, from his comical expressions to his bright color palette. The “feathery” plush bow showcases the number 90 to recognize the exact anniversary, making it a very cool collector’s item (and how funny is Donald’s little tail on the “0”?).
