People come and go at jobs all over the world, but when a Disney executive determines that their time is up at the company, it’s a pretty big deal.

Movement within a large company such as Disney is common, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t tug at our heartstrings thinking about it. We recently learned that a VERY important person at Walt Disney Imagineering is stepping down.
Barbara Bouza joined Disney Imagineering in June of 2020. As a licensed architect, she not only worked alongside the most famous group of individuals at Disney (aside from the animators), but she led them as the President.

Now, nearly four years later, Bouza is stepping down as President of Walt Disney Imagineering. In an Instagram post, Bouza shared what it meant to her to be a part of such a meaningful team of individuals, “Proudly building upon our extraordinary legacy, Imagineers are shaping a future that inspires humanity. As one global team of innovative creators and storytellers, we immerse our guests in experiences that make memories of a lifetime.”
She also added that she is wrapping up her work at Walt Disney Imagineering so she can, “create an even bigger impact for [the] world.” Disney Imagineers are the backbone to creating unbelievable and magical experiences for all who visit the Disney parks, resorts, cruises, and more. It’s a big deal for Bouza to be leaving, but she ensures that “WDI will be in excellent hands with my partner, Bruce Vaughn, Chief Creative Officer, who is an exceptional creative leader.”

We’re looking forward to seeing what Vaughn and the Walt Disney Imagineers have in store for us! We’ll be keeping our eyes out for more Disney news, so keep following AllEars!
