Disney has pledged to spend $60 billion on its theme park resorts over the next decade, and it looks like some of that money will be spent on Disneyland Resort in California!

Projects are happening now in the Downtown Disney area, which is currently under construction with new restaurants moving in soon. But we just recently learned that Downtown Disney will also be getting a brand new entertainment space.
Downtown Disney is getting a new stage and lawn area for special events, activities, entertainment, and more. This area will be located at the west end of the district and will include a new tower designed by artist Nikkolas Smith.

“This new tower will pay tribute to the sublime work of pioneering architects of color in Southern California during the mid-20th century with unique geometric patterns in the sculpture, evoking the famed mid-century buildings they created.” Disney plans on opening this new space later this year.
Disney also announced four MORE new eateries for Downtown Disney, too, as part of Parkside Market. This includes the Korean-inspired Seoul Sister, Sip & Sonder by Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas, GG’s Chicken Shop from Boka Restaurant Group and a second-story bar. How exciting!

We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more updates about everything new coming to Disneyland Resort, including Downtown Disney, so check back with AllEars again soon.
