Happy Independence Day!

We are hitting the parks at Disney World today to see what it’s like. There is a lot to look forward to in the parks today. From jet flyovers to delicious snacks, there are a lot of reasons guests are flocking to Disney World to celebrate the holiday.
Let’s take a look at what the crowds and wait times actually look like on July Fourth in Disney World.
Magic Kingdom

If you’re at Magic Kingdom today, pack your patience — it is crowded. When we arrived at the park, this is what we were met with. Look at that sea of people on Main Street, U.S.A….

Of course, the flyover at the castle is what brought so many people here today. Not to mention the special fireworks, Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky happening at 9:20 PM.

Here’s a look at what the wait times are looking like at Magic Kingdom. The highest wait time is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at 90 minutes. The wait times aren’t looking too bad so far, as the rest of the rides in Magic Kingdom are around 25 to 30 minutes, with the exception of Jungle Cruise and Peter Pan’s Flight, which are at 50 minute waits. These waits surprised us! We thought they’d be much higher based on the crowds.

EPCOT

When we arrived at EPCOT, this was what the crowds were looking like as we passed under Spaceship Earth.

EPCOT is doing special lighting for Spaceship Earth for the holiday. Tonight, EPCOT Forever will feature a “patriotic Fourth of July grand finale” called Heartbeat of Freedom.

Here’s a look at what the wait times are looking like at EPCOT. The highest wait time is at Test Track, which is currently posting a 75-minute wait. However, most of the wait times look a lot like Magic Kingdom’s — around 25 to 30 minutes — with the exception of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, which is posting a 70-minute wait. We were once again pretty surprised by the relatively low wait times.
