So you’re planning a trip to Universal Orlando with a toddler!

Universal Orlando Resort has two theme parks — Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Let’s say you only have one day to spend there with the family. Which of the theme parks here will be best for a toddler?
Universal Orlando is well-known for its roller coasters, superhero rides, and, of course, the uber popular Harry Potter attractions in both of its parks. But none of that really screams “toddler,” right?

So what will entertain the tiniest tots? First of all, remember that family time and an outing in the immersive environment of any theme park is fun for just about everyone — including your toddler. Getting a colorful treat, riding in the stroller and seeing new things, and meeting some characters can make for a full day! But most of us go to a theme park for the rides, and as far as rides for young ‘uns are concerned, one of Universal’s Parks is the obvious choice.

That’s right — we recommend Islands of Adventure!
With a toddler, we recommend heading to the Seuss Landing section of Islands of Adventure for rides. There you’ll find:
Caro-Seuss-El — A traditional carousel ride with no height requirement and eye-poppingly bright characters.

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish — An aeriel-carousel ride with no height requirement.

The Cat in the Hat — This one does have a height requirement of 36 inches. It’s a fun dark ride that goes at low speeds.

The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride — This gentle ride takes you around Seuss Landing while re-telling the story of the Sneetches. It has a height requirement of 35 inches.

You will also find play areas at Islands of Adventure — head over to Camp Jurassic for some fun water play and suspension bridges to climb on.
Over in Toon Lagoon, you can visit Me Ship, The Olive — a 3-story playground!
And at Seuss Landing, there’s the If I Ran the Zoo playland. You’ll find a water playground, slides, climbing areas, and more for the littles!

And don’t forget the character meet and greets! At Islands of Adventure, you can meet:
- The Cat in the Hat, Thing One and Thing Two, Sam I Am, and The Grinch in the Dr. Seuss Character Zone.
- Betty Boop, Popeye, and Olive Oyl in Toon Lagoon.
- Spider-Man. Captain America, Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm at Marvel Super Hero Island.

That’s a look at our recommendation for things to do with toddlers at Islands of Adventure. Keep following All Ears for more vacation planning info!
