Disney Celebrities Comment on Potential 'Cheetah Girls' Revival

Does being a Cheetah Girl really mean “friends for life?” It might!

A few cast members from the original Cheetah Girls films recently sat down together to talk about life, family, and if another Cheetah Girls movie could be in our future. There’s already been talk about another Princess Diaries film and we’re getting a live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, so why not a Cheetah Girls revival too?! Well, we think this update could be VERY exciting for some OG Disney Channel fans.

“Amigas, Cheetahs, friends for life…” — that’s what we were all promised when we last left off with the Cheetah Girls back in the early 2000s. But what could the future hold for these amigas? Could another Cheetah Girls movie potentially be made in the future? An interview with some of the original castmates from the film as shared by E! News has given us a big update.

When asked if they would be open to coming back together and doing something with the Cheetah Girls, Raven-Symoné said she would do it ‘in a heartbeat.’ It seems that those spots are thicker than water because the same was echoed by her co-star, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton.

Symoné said “That’s why any time she’s doing something, I’m down and I know she’s the same for me…And I think that there’s a wonderful thing to just encapsulate something and let it live. We are in the era of reboot, honey. We love a reboot.”

Houghton also added, “But we hate when they ruin it.” This seemed to be aligned with Symoné’s thoughts because she also threw in, “And we can’t ruin the Cheetah Girls, they can’t ruin it.”

But Raven shared, if they did do something together it would SMASH.

So it seems like both could be open to the idea of a revival of the Cheetah sisters — and in the ‘era of reboot’ who knows what could happen! We’ve recently seen reboots happen for other Disney shows like Girl Meets World and The Proud Family.
