Hurricane Ian carved a path of destruction through parts of Florida, and relief efforts are underway.

We’ve already told you how you could help those impacted by the hurricane in terms of donations and volunteering. But now there’s another way you can help — by visiting a theme park in Florida.
According to ClickOrlando.com, Legoland Florida is donating $20 from every theme park ticket sold online up to a maximum of $100,000 total from now through October 9th to the American Red Cross to help with Hurricane Ian relief efforts.
The park has indicated that the donations will help the Red Cross prepare and respond to people recovering from the storm.

Like other theme parks in the area, Legoland closed for several days while Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida. The park has since reopened, and the Legoland water park is set to reopen on Saturday.
Two of the park’s water slides, however, will remain temporarily closed for the time being. Legoland also announced that an upcoming attraction, Pirate River Quest, will be delayed due to some impacts from Hurricane Ian.
The ride is set to be a captain-driven boat ride that’ll go around Lake Eloise and the historic Cypress Gardens. But, Cypress Gardens’ canals and other lakes have seen some record-breaking water levels, so that has affected the ride’s opening date.

Legoland encourages fans of the park to check its social media accounts regularly to get updates on when Pirate River Quest might eventually open.
In the meantime, Legoland is now open to guests again, as is Universal Orlando and Disney World. For some spooky fun, guests can stop by Legoland’s Halloween Monster Party event.
