VIDEO: See More of Buzz Lightyear’s Backstory in New ‘Lightyear’ Trailer

Ever since Disney released the first teaser trailer for Lightyear, we’ve been patiently (or maybe not so patiently) waiting to see the whole movie! Lightyear is the movie that Andy from Toy Story saw that made him want a Buzz Lightyear toy so much. And we have to admit, we kind of get it.

After being the subject of some controversy, Lightyear will be coming to theaters in June, and Disney has just released a second trailer to make the wait just a little more bearable.

The second trailer for Lightyear is just as amazing as the first with just about two-and-a-half minutes of exciting sneak peeks into the movie (and the adorable cat robot Sox, of course).

Lightyear is Buzz Lightyear’s origin story and follows him as he tries to get back home after being marooned on a hostile planet, 4.2 million light-years from Earth. Chris Evans is stepping into the role of Buzz himself, and is joined by other actors like Uzo Aduba as Alisha Hawthorne (Buzz’s best friend), Peter Sohn as Sox, the robot cat, Keke Palmer as Izzy Hawthorne, and James Brolin as the formidable Zurg.

The new movie is going to be a sci-fi action adventure with time travel, space travel, and more insight into who Buzz Lightyear was as a person (not as a toy).
