PHOTOS & VIDEO: Preview the NEW Parade Floats Coming to Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade!

Disneyland’s beloved Main Street Electrical Parade is returning soon, and our faces lit up (just like the parade floats) with excitement when we learned more about the big return of this classic Disney parade.

Starting on April 22nd, 2022, the Main Street Electrical Parade will once again run through the streets of Disneyland. Earlier this year, Disney shared the showtimes for the nightly parade, plus we learned that a special dining package is available for the show. Now, Disney just shared a preview of the parade floats — let’s take a look!

Like any good Disney show, a BIG finale will cap off the parade. We learned that the theme of the final parade float will be inspired by the classic “it’s a small world” attraction, blending both old and new Disney films into one mega-float.

Disney also revealed a look at the new Encanto characters debuting soon on the float. We see Mirabel and Antonio all lit up; don’t they look amazing?!

As you can see, everyone from Merida to Miguel is featured in the parade. Disney Imagineers explained that guests will be able to see different characters on both sides of the float, so you’ll have to watch the parade a few times to see all the new characters!

Disney also gave us a look at the new “50 Years” parade float (it previously read “Main Street Electrical Parade”). Can you believe that this parade is celebrating its 50th anniversary? It’s still just as iconic as it was 50 years ago!
