We’ve been waiting for what feels like ages for Avengers Campus to open at Disneyland’s California Adventure, and it’s finally here!
We can now enjoy supersized food from Pym Test Kitchen, the epic new Spider-Man ride – WEB Slingers, and even see our favorite superheroes run around the Avengers Headquarters. One of the shows now open is the Ancient Sanctum, and we’re here to tell you all about what to expect!
The Ancient Sanctum is where we can meet the Sorcerer Supreme himself, Doctor Strange!
The Master of the Mystic Arts is here to teach us all about the ancient site’s secrets.
Dr. Strange even demonstrates his mystical abilities for us to learn from in case we need to defend the planet one day!
In the show, he makes a grand entrance through a portal, and it’s one of the coolest parts of the show!
The sanctum originates from unexplained events and energies that have come from a remote location in the hills outside of Los Angeles for as long as anyone can remember. Spooky!
After a Stark Industries complex was built on the location, Iron Man invited Dr. Stephen Strange to the Avengers Campus to teach recruits about the mystic arts. Dr. Strange then suspended the area’s cloaking spells, revealing the Ancient Sanctum to the world! Now we get to discover what has been hidden for centuries.
You’ll get to see ancient ruins and learn about the amazing Orb of Cagliostro. The Orb is known to be most active at night, so visit after dark to catch a glimpse of the sanctum flowing with magical energy!
