D23 is releasing an entirely new vintage-inspired collection called Treasures from the Vault.
Each month this year, D23 will reveal a new plush inspired by a character from the first 50 years of the Walt Disney Studios animated films. The collection will begin with its first release tomorrow, January 8th. D23 has given everyone a look at the first plush!
Walt Disney kept a very special Lady and the Tramp plush in his office for years. The Lady plush is now placed inside Walt’s reconstructed office suite at the Walt Disney Studios. The story goes that Walt Disney presented his wife with a puppy for Christmas, hidden in a hatbox. This memory became an iconic moment in the film. The designers took inspiration from Walt’s Lady plush and made an entirely new plush for Disney fans.
The commemorative plush will come with a Certificate of Authenticity and be placed in a window box. It’s available only on Amazon and will be released on Friday, January 8th at 9AM PT. Head to the D23 website for the link tomorrow morning. You must have a D23 account before you can access the link.
