Everyone’s favorite band of space misfits, the Guardians of the Galaxy, are set to make their broadcast television premiere on ABC’s The Wonderful World of Disney.

Earlier this year, ABC announced it was bringing The Wonderful World of Disney back for a movie night run. Since then, The Wonderful World of Disney has aired Moana, Thor: The Dark World, Up, Big Hero 6, and more.
Now, ABC plans on airing Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on the program on Wednesday, September 23rd at 8PM EST. And in doing so, the action-packed space adventure will make its official broadcast television debut.

Guardians of the Galaxy follows the adventures of Peter Quill, a young boy abducted by aliens at an early age, who grows up to be a space adventurer. However, after he meets a group of space outcasts (and criminals), he must band with them to save the universe.

The film series proved so popular that it spawned a sequel, with a third movie on the way. It also resulted in Disneyland’s Tower of Terror attraction getting re-themed, which gave the attraction a complete Guardians of the Galaxy makeover. That attraction is now Guardians of the Galaxy–Mission BREAKOUT!

In addition, Walt Disney World continues construction on the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which is planned for a 2021 debut.

Those who want to watch Guardians of the Galaxy on broadcast TV will have a chance to in just a few weeks! The movie is also available for streaming now on Disney+.

Would be big news if every Marvel movie wasn’t on a basic cable channel somewhere every day of the week! And if that’s not enough, they are all on Disney+ except for the Spider-Man and the very skippable Incredible Hulk films.
I was just thinking the same thing. Never paid attention to which network was airing it. It’s on constantly.
