After being closed for nearly four months, Disney’s Animal Kingdom reopened today!

We’re here LIVE at Animal Kingdom’s reopening day to check out what the park looks like, from ride wait times to crowd levels to health and safety procedures to all of the adorable animals and everything in between!
So, just how crowded is a reopened Animal Kingdom you ask? Not very.

Though crowds at Magic Kingdom seem to fluctuate depending on where you are in the park, we noticed plenty of space to social distance over at Animal Kingdom when we arrived this morning.

As of 11AM, there are certain spots where you won’t even see another person.

If the pictures of an empty Pandora don’t convince you, the wait times at Animal Kingdom are particularly low too. At noon, many rides had just a 5 minute wait, including Expedition Everest, and Kilimanjaro Safaris.

In fact, the only ride with more than a 15-minute wait at midday was Kali River Rapids! Even the ever-popular Flight of Passage posted 5 minutes.

We’re in Animal Kingdom all day today, and we will continue to monitor wait times and crowds levels. We’ll update this post throughout the day, so stay tuned!
What do you think of the low crowds and wait times at Animal Kingdom on its grand reopening day? Let us know in the comments!
